Waiting for Spring, Vol. 01 by Anashin | Manga Review

Hello! Today I have a manga review. I had quite a bit of fun reading this manga. My review for Waiting for Spring Volume 01 is quite messy. Sorry in advance!

32847821A sweet romantic story of a soft-spoken high school freshman and her quest to make friends, Waiting for Spring will delight fans of earnest, fun, and dramatic shojo like Kimi ni Todoke and Say I Love You.

Mizuki is a shy girl who’s about to enter high school, and vows to open herself up to new friendships. Of course, the four stars of the boys’ basketball team weren’t exactly the friends she had in mind! Yet, when they drop by the cafĂ© where she works, the five quickly hit it off. Soon she’s been accidentally thrust into the spotlight, targeted by jealous girls. And will she expand her mission to include… love?

I’d like to say that the cover for Waiting for Spring vol. 01 is so cute. Actually, all the covers for this manga series are pretty cute.

Not only is the cover cute but the first chapter is adorable. What I truly, what I really disliked is how some of the other female characters were acting in this first chapter. The main character herself is actually quite nice and friendly. But there are girls in this high school who are ruthless and call girls names even when they’re in the same room.

Second chapter was cute but what makes me really mad is that the female characters like to claim boys as their own without even getting to know the person first. So, I’m really bothered by that.

This whole first volume is quite adorable, and there were some laugh out loud moments as well, which I liked.

Cute read. Really enjoyed it, and will most definitely reading the next volume as soon as I can.

I give Waiting for Spring, 5/5 stars.

What I enjoyed most about this first volume was that the story was a cute and adorable read, and that I finished quite quickly. I also liked how easy we could follow the story.

Thanks for reading!
