August 2017 Wrap Up

unnamed-20Hello everyone! Today’s post is that of my August 2017 wrap-up. How has your August been? — It’s incredibly hard for me to believe that August has already come and pass. That tomorrow is September.

It’s always hard for me to finish my monthly TBR lists. I usually have at least 6 or 7 books planned out that I want to read. With having only 2 or 3 books on my monthly TBR now, I’ve found that it is much more manageable for me to accomplish the list I’ve made.

My TBR of this month had 3 books on it. The TBR books were: Undead and Unwed (Undead, #1) by MaryJanice Davidson. Then there was Switched (Trylle Trilogy, #1) by Amanda Hocking, and finally, You’re Welcome, Universe by Whitney Gardner. I managed to read all of this months’ TBR! This is the first (or second, I can’t really remember) time I’ve managed to read what was on my monthly TBR! Continue reading

July Wrap Up | 2017

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1Hello, everyone! Today’s post will be my Wrap-Up for July. July was an especially weird month for me, weather wise. I remember it rained for a little bit here and there. Usually in the summer months it doesn’t rain. At all. Let’s get down to it, shall we?

unnamed-16My TBR for July consisted of 4 books: The first book would be a re-read, and the rest being books I haven’t read before but, they’re part of their own series. The books making my TBR this month were (from left to right): The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (The Ubncemoning of Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin, The Infinite (Gates of Thread and Stone, #2) by Lori M. Lee, Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes, #3) by Sara Raasch, and finally, The Fate of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #3) by Erika Johansen. Continue reading

May Wrap Up | 2017

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1

How was everyone’s May? May is actually one of the busiest months for me. I mean, there’s mothers day, my brother’s wedding anniversary, my dad’s birthday, my parents wedding anniversary, and then my sisters birthday. All in that order, too.

I officially marked A Monster Calls (by Patrick Ness) as a Did Not Finish (DNF). I’ve just lost all interest in the book. Which is slightly upsetting, but I can’t help that I’ve lost interest.

unnamed-26The books I had on my TBR this month were: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver; since I really want to read the book and eventually watch the movie with my mom. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard; I really need to finish re-reading this so I can put the book out of my mind! Cryer’s Cross by Lisa McMann; I’ve had the book for a while, and every time I look at my shelf my eyes go to Cryer’s Cross. Evermore by Alyson Noël; I’ve been wanting to re-read Evermore for a few years now, so why not!

I’m leaving May, and entering June reading Before I Fall, as well as Evermore. Let’s see what I read this May! Continue reading

March Book Haul & Wrap Up | 2017

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1

Hello reader(s)! I hope March went well for you all. If not, then I’m so sorry. Hopefully April brings better things. We had a thunderstorm this month, the first of the season, I’m sure! The thunder and lightning was a sight to behold. Even though I was in my room with the lights on. Thankfully the power didn’t go out! The storm rushed through my town and at one point was over my house. It’s such a strange sensation to feel the deep rumble of a thunder storm run through the bones of your house.

unnamed-10My TBR for this month consisted of only one book! That book was A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness. It was also my groups book of the month on Goodreads. Which was why I only had one book on my TBR this month. I figured, with only one book on my TBR, surely I could sit down and just read it. Continue reading

Book Un-Haul

sisterlybookunhaulToday’s post is as you figure: I’m getting ride of some books. Most of the books that I’m getting rid of are the books that my sister had the attitude of: “Here. Go through these and get rid of ones you don’t want. I don’t want them anymore.

So that’s what I’m doing! The books are going to go from being the ones my sister doesn’t want, to the ones I myself am getting rid of.  Continue reading

February Wrap Up

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1

Hello friends! Here’s my February Wrap-Up.

It has snowed off and on all of February; which is short of a miracle, I believe. I don’t think it’s snowed in February here in my part of Canada since 2007, maybe? Even the news has said that it’s rare for Vancouver to get this much snow in our Winter season. I think we’ve gotten around 68cm(?) of snow. Usually this happens only every ten years. Anyway, lets get on to reviewing what I’ve done and read this past month, shall we?

unnamed-29My February TBR consisted of four books: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Illustrated Edition, illustrated by Jim Kay, Hereafter by Tara Hudson, Inhuman by Kat Falls, and Mistwood by Leah Cypress. I unfortunately only got around to reading one of the four books this month (Hereafter). Continue reading
