Hello, all! I hope March has treated you well! Today’s Top 5 Wednesday is obviously about “Least Favorite Book in Your Favorite Series!” A little disclaimer here, I don’t normally like whole series. If and when that happens, I usually stop continuing on with the series in general.. So there aren’t a lot of series to work with unfortunately.
The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead is one of my favourites though. My least favourite book in this series is Frost Bite. There is such a pointless death that I still to this day, can’t get over it. I really like the rest of the series as well; even if each book is sort of repetitive of the last.
The Lost Voices trilogy by Sarah Porter is a great series that I dearly enjoyed reading! A trilogy about girls who’ve turned into mermaids. In order to turn into a mermaid, a girl has to have had something happen that was so horrible to her, that there’s no turning back. My least favourite book in this trilogy is the second book, Waking Storms. There’s a character that we meet in Waking Storms that just pisses me off so freaking much!!
The Darkest Powers trilogy by Kelley Armstrong is another favourite series of mine that I read quite a while ago, but they have a lasting touch on me. I love this trilogy so much! I have to say though, that my least favourite book in this trilogy is all of them. There’s a love triangle in this series that just upsets me so much. And that’s why I’ve only read this trilogy once, haha. #problematicfave right? Hahaha
The Devouring trilogy, by Simon Holt. This trilogy is a little older; the first book came out in 2008. Nonetheless though, I’d have to say that the book I like the least in this series is the second book, Soulstice. I have residual feelings /slash/ thoughts about this book and for some reason -even though there’s a lot of character development for quite a few characters- I don’t have good feelings about this book. Like, Soulstice is a really great addition to the trilogy, I just found that because of the events that happened in this book, were horrible on the characters, but that’s what made them grow so much.
The Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth is another favourite of mine. My least favourite book in this trilogy is Insurgent. Now if you’ve read the Divergent trilogy, and I hope you have, but if you haven’t that’s fine! I won’t post any spoilers, but if I’m thinking correctly, Insurgent is my least favourite book of the trilogy because of what happens at the end of Divergent and in the beginnings of Insurgent.
