The Rainbow Book Tag

Hello mi amigos! Today’s post is going to be the Rainbow Book Tag. I came across this book tag from Kelly | Another Book in the Wall. I haven’t done a book tag in a long time, so I’m actually pretty excited to do tag. Let’s get down to things!

The Rules:

  • Thank the lovely person that tagged you!
  • It must be the dominant color of the cover, not the spine!
  • It has to be a book you own or the exact copy that you read. (Ex: There are two copies of The Hate U Give, choose the cover of the copy you read)
  • If you do not own a book of the certain cover, choose one that has the color somewhere on it.
  • Tag some people do it! Whether they are bloggers, bookstagrammers, or booktubers. Spread the love!
  • Make it a game or do the tag as originally intended.

If you want to know more about the book, all you have to do is click the books’ cover. You’ll then be taken to the books’ GoodReads page. — Enjoy!

‘One of Lux’s hands had found mine, and even though he was mouthing No, his grip gave me the strength to meet the lady’s eyes and whisper, “Even so, I will keep my vow. Where he dies, I will die. And there will I be buried.”
And with a burst of song, the sparrow landed on my wrist.
A handful of kindness, it said to the Kindly Ones. The answer to your riddle.

First Book Signing & Meeting Jenny Han!

unnamed-31Hello! Today I’ll be talking about my first bookish event. I don’t really do “events,” per say.. I’m more of a get-in, get what you want, buy it and leave, kind of person. However, with re-reading To All the Boys I’ve Loved, and P.S. I Still Love You, and then finally reading Always and Forever, Lara Jean, thus finishing the trilogy, I realized that the To All the Boys I’ve Loved trilogy had become one of my favourites. So when I found out that there was going to be a signing event in Vancouver, I jumped at the opportunity to go. …Then I decided to not go, because who did I know that was going? No one; and then I think it was a day later that my friend Sam invited me to go along with her.  Continue reading

April Wrap Up | 2017

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1

Hello all! I have been enjoying sitting in my room with my blinds and window open as of late. I love the sounds that surround early spring. I don’t know about where you live, but here where I live, I hear the traffic on the nearby bypass, the birds at both 5-6 AM & PM. I hear people outside doing their spring cleaning, and I hear kids playing around outside. That’s when it’s sunny. — When it’s raining (which I still love) I tend to hear the rain hitting the roof, along with the white noise that accompanies rain. I don’t usually hear all that much traffic when it rains, which is a nice break!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, by Jenny Han | Book Review #204

screen-shot-2017-01-17-at-5-02-42-pm

15749186To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister’s ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (TATBILB) is the first book in the duology-turned-trilogy written by Jenny Han. TATBILB is a YA Contemporary.

I can honestly say that the first time that I read To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, I ended up not liking it; I had a whole myriad of emotions concerning Lara Jean and the rest of the book. Continue reading
