December 2017 Wrap Up & Book Haul

Hello, and Happy New Year! I hope your celebrations went well, and that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.

Onto the December 2018 Wrap-Up! — I didn’t have a TBR for this month, because I knew that with Chirstmas this last month, things and life in general would be incredibly hectic. Yet I managed to read 10 books! Considering it was the busy hustle-and-bustle of the Holidays and Celebrations were to be had, I did pretty well with my readings!

I bought a LOT of books in December. I only received one, which I’m not at all complaining about. I’ve read the book, and I honestly, genuinely enjoyed it. I know I’m going to re-read it this 2018 (hopefully).

Deep, by Kylie Scott | Book Review #247

Book Review

21853679Their one night stand wasn’t supposed to end this way…

Positive. With two little lines on a pregnancy test, everything in Lizzy Rollins’ ordinary life is about to change forever. And all because of one big mistake in Vegas with Ben Nicholson, the devastatingly sexy bass player for Stage Dive. So what if Ben’s the only man who’s ever made her feel out of control with desire? Lizzy knows the gorgeous rock star isn’t looking for anything more permanent than a good time, no matter how much she wishes differently.
Ben knows Lizzy is off limits. Completely and utterly. She’s his best friend’s little sister, and no matter how hot the chemistry between them, no matter how sweet and sexy she is, he’s not going to go there. But when Ben has a moment of weakness in Sin City, he learns that what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there. Now he and Lizzie are connected in the deepest way possible…but will it lead to a true connection of the heart?

With Deep being the last novel in the Stage Dive series, I was kind of hoping for a book that was a tad crazier, or rather, more hectic novel than the last three books. Well, I got what I wished for! Continue reading

July Wrap Up | 2017

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1Hello, everyone! Today’s post will be my Wrap-Up for July. July was an especially weird month for me, weather wise. I remember it rained for a little bit here and there. Usually in the summer months it doesn’t rain. At all. Let’s get down to it, shall we?

unnamed-16My TBR for July consisted of 4 books: The first book would be a re-read, and the rest being books I haven’t read before but, they’re part of their own series. The books making my TBR this month were (from left to right): The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (The Ubncemoning of Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin, The Infinite (Gates of Thread and Stone, #2) by Lori M. Lee, Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes, #3) by Sara Raasch, and finally, The Fate of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #3) by Erika Johansen. Continue reading

Library Reads #28

libraryrreadsLibrary Reads: I’m a Library Lover, so these posts are where I document the books I’ve borrowed from either one library, of a few libraries. I’ll tell you a little bit about what I expect from the book, or the author’s writings. Whether what I say is a sentence long, or a few sentence’s. From doing these posts, I hope to spread a little of my love for libraries, while also informing you of books that you may or may not have known of!

One of my favourite things to do is borrow books from the library. I get to borrow a book, take it home, and read it. If I end up not liking, or I didn’t enjoy the book, then it’s not problem for me! I just return the book and move on with my life.

Here are the books that I’ve borrowed from the last half of May to end of June. Let me know if you’ve read, or want to read any of these books — Enjoy! Continue reading

However, when a PR disaster serves as a wake-up call about his life and lands him in rehab, he finds himself with Lena, a new assistant to keep him out of trouble.
Lena’s not willing to take any crap from the sexy rocker and is determined to keep their relationship completely professional, despite their sizzling chemistry. But when Jimmy pushes her too far and Lena leaves, he realizes that he may just have lost the best thing that ever happened to him.’

A great thing about the Stage Dive series is that you can read these books as standalones.  Continue reading

Library Reads | #17

Hello lovelies! As you can see, I have a Library Reads post for you today! I’ve been trying to put myself on a kind of library ban. I can get books as long as the books are part of a series I’ve started reading, or books that I’ve queued for in the past. — This ban isn’t working though! Which is totally fine, because library books are free for the most part.

Anyway, here are some books that I’ve borrowed from the library! I’m honestly looking forward to reading all of these babies. Continue reading

Play by Kylie Scott | Book Review #124

19095025Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl.

Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?

Play is the second book to the four book companion series Stage Dive, by Kylie Scott. Continue reading

Lick by Kylie Scott | Book Review #115

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.18761654

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.”

Hello reader! I hope today is, or was, a good day for you. Today’s post is a book review on the New Adult novel Lick by Kylie Scott. Lick is the first novel in a 4 part series. I think this book is a stand alone, but I can always hope that the next novel will be about Evelyn and David. However, I truly believe that this series is more of a companion series than anything.  Continue reading
