September ’18 Wrap Up

Hello friends! It’s now officially the end of September!

Which is slightly upsetting on my part because September is my favourite Autumn month.

IMG_7117I don’t know about you, but for me September screams “new beginnings” to me.  Which is why I figured that at the beginning of September my mind kept reaching for romance novels. Just….romance novels. Which is odd, but I guess it’s the whole coziness that had me lovey-dovey.

Yet I knew that I also wanted to read fantasy books! Characters who are assassins, or characters just finding out that they have magic themselves. Or maybe these characters are falling in love for the first time.. Maybe all three?! I had no idea. But my mind was screaming “romance romance romance” to me, and I had to try and oblige, hahaha.

I had no set TBR for September, but I did want to read a few of the books that I own. Whether that book I read would be a re-read, or reading the story for the first time. Continue reading

Since Drew, by J. Nathan | Book Review #399

Trigger Warning: Car Accident (being hit by a car), Depression, Suicidal Thoughts Mention

25127536All Andi Parker has ever wanted, all she’s ever dreamed of, is a spot on the Olympic track team. But when an accident leaves her hospitalized with serious injuries and shattered dreams, she’s not only uncertain what her future holds but also completely alone.

Drew Slater is a wanted man. Professional football teams want him for his arm. Women want him for his irresistible good looks and charming personality. But the well-crafted disguise he wears, the one that helps him score on and off the field, hides secrets. Conceals lies. Threatens the happiness of everyone around him.

One chance encounter brings Andi and Drew together, changing their worlds in ways they never thought possible. Unfortunately, what they thought they knew about themselves—and each other—might just be the biggest lie of all.

Since Drew is a New Adult Romance, and yes, Since Drew contains sex scenes in the story.

I know I probably read the synopsis before buying a copy of this book, but when I started reading it I actually had forgotten what Since Drew was about. So when I read the entirety of Since Drew in one sitting…I didn’t know what to fully expect……for the most part. Continue reading

IMG_6537Hello friends! It’s that time of the month again where I do my monthly wrap up! Let’s se what happened this month, reading wise, and just my general monthly update.

With only having one book on my TBR this month, I kept my August TBR super short.. The book on my TBR for this August was Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3) by Sarah J. Maas. I’m trying to read at least one Throne of Glass book a month until Kingdom of Ash is published, in October. And I’m fallin’ behind!

What I read:
