June 2019 Wrap-Up

Hello friends! Today I have my June Wrap-Up! We’re halfway through the year–how do we feel about that?! I myself am not liking how fast time flows the older I get.

Hello friends! Today I have my review of Kingdom of Ash, by Sarah J. Maas.

Kingdom of Ash is the latest (and as far as we know) last book in the Throne of Glass series.

My review has been sitting in my drafts for far too long. So I decided today was the day that I was going to post it.

A little forewarning about my review of Kingdom of Ash. It’s less of a review and more of an overall review of what I ended up feeling from reading KoA. And since I wanted to not spoil this book at all, my review is a short read.

February 2019 Wrap Up & MAJOR Book Haul

Hello friends, and Welcome to my February 2019 Wrap Up!

I managed to read more than I thought I would, but not as much as I had wanted to. That’s 100% OK though, since life and such things can get in the way. Which, this month, it did.

I also acquired a lot of books in February. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get around to reading them all or not, but I’ll have fun trying!

Onto my February To-Be-Read list though… My February TBR was a grand total of 4 books. I personally find that if I aim to read one a book a week, I’m more eager to read more than what I limit to what my TBR list includes.

The books I had on my TBR were actually four ARCs that I have. I managed to read two of the four, which is great. If I got around to completing those 4 books, I would’ve moved onto reading Wayfarer (Passenger, #2) by Alexandra Bracken, The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) by Holly Black, and finally, These Rebel Waves (Stream Raiders ,#1) by Sara Raasch.

However, the books that I actually read were:

January 2019 Wrap Up, Book Haul & Thoughts

Hello friends! Welcome, welcome. Today’s post is my January 2019 (!!!!!!!!) Wrap Up and Book Haul. 

It’s been long time since I last posted a monthly TBR on my Instagram… When I first posted my TBR for January, I wasn’t sure on whether or not I’d end up completing the TBR pile since I was pretty sick between the day after Christmas until through halfway of January.

The books I had planned to read this month were:

Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas | Book Review

Hello! Today’s post is my review of the sixth (6th) book from the Throne of Glass series, Tower of Dawn, by Sarah J. Maas.

I was pleasantly surprised that when I started reading Tower of Dawn, I was actually enjoying reading this 6th novel in the Throne of Glass series. The adventure that these three go on was a delight to read, and I especially liked that even though the main focus in Tower of Dawn wasn’t on Aelin, the pace of the story was great. So I hope that these three characters will play a big role in Kingdom of Ash.

Back when Empire of Storms was published, I bought it as an e-copy and was hesitant to read it. Because true to Maas’ form, she wrote more and more characters into the story. And at that time of me trying to read EoS, I just wasn’t having it. So I put the book down and vowed that if I tried to read it again, I’d wait until the last book was published.

And here we are.

November & December Wrap Up + BOOK HAUL! | 2018

Hello friends! I’m back, finally. And it’s nearing the end of this year! Woah, this past year went by so quickly, so I’m certain that the next years will go by even faster.

The break I had taken from blogging was actually a great thing that I chose to do. Not only did I decide at the last minute to hand craft a bunch of gifts this year, but I did so with very little time left in the year. Now that the holidays have passed I can read again!!

Having not reading as much as I wanted to these last few months have been a huge bummer. I still read here and there, and there was even a week or two where I did nothing but read or watch anime and catch up on a few youtube videos, but I missed being able to read whenever I wanted to, and I missed being able to participate in the book community.. Like I said though, I did manage to read a bit!

With this post being a wrap up of the last two months of my life, not much has happened on Adele Is Reading, thus, the Wrap Up’s are going to be shorter than usual.

October ’18 Wrap Up + BIRTHDAY Haul

Hello friends! October just passed recently, and I have been so freakin’ busy. So here’s my October Wrap Up! 

I didn’t end up setting up a To Be Read list for October, just because I know that October is one of the busiest months I have yearly. However, since I accidentally ended up borrowing quite a few books from the library, I knew that I’d have to read those sometime. So why not make them my unofficially-official TBR and read a few of the books so I could feel like I actually read my TBR list this month.

Here’s what happened this month!

September ’18 Wrap Up

Hello friends! It’s now officially the end of September!

Which is slightly upsetting on my part because September is my favourite Autumn month.

I don’t know about you, but for me September screams “new beginnings” to me.  Which is why I figured that at the beginning of September my mind kept reaching for romance novels. Just….romance novels. Which is odd, but I guess it’s the whole coziness that had me lovey-dovey.

Yet I knew that I also wanted to read fantasy books! Characters who are assassins, or characters just finding out that they have magic themselves. Or maybe these characters are falling in love for the first time.. Maybe all three?! I had no idea. But my mind was screaming “romance romance romance” to me, and I had to try and oblige, hahaha.

I had no set TBR for September, but I did want to read a few of the books that I own. Whether that book I read would be a re-read, or reading the story for the first time.
