10 Notable Books I’ve Read in 2018 (So Far..)

Hello friends! —- Today’s post is about the 10 most notable books that I’ve read this year. As I’m writing this post, I’ve read 96 books so far this year. That’s a lot. It’s freakin’ June and this honestly proves how much of a social life that I don’t have. Which I’m 50% OK with, because that means that I get to read more books.

So here are the books that had some sort of impact on me, so far this year. In no particular order: Continue reading

May 2018 Wrap Up & Book Haul

Hello! Today’s post will be my monthly wrap up for May. As you can see by the title, haha. I also ended up buying quite a few books, so check those out as well!

IMG_5901Knowing that I probably wouldn’t stick to it, I actually came up with a TBR this month!

My TBR for May included: The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson, A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas, Under the Empyrean Sky by Chuck Wendig, The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima, Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson, and finally, A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab.

I ended up reading way more books that I thought I would’ve this month, since May is typically one of the busiest months of the year for me. Yet I ended up reading 08 books, and 10 manga. Not bad if I do say so myself! Continue reading

38487713On the outside, Ally has everything any teenager could want. She’s beautiful, popular, and athletic. She has the right friends, an adoring boyfriend, and the picture-perfect family.

Too bad it’s all a lie.

Every day she’s dying a little on the inside, drowning in everyone’s expectations and opinions, the weight of it all pulling her under.

She wants to do the unthinkable … until a boy with shaggy hair, unusual eyes, and a lip ring changes her plans.

Prior to actually getting down to the nitty-gritty of this novel, I was hesitant to read Saving Me. Continue reading

33154480One golden boy…

Judd Jackson had it all—star football player with a college scholarship, perfect family, tons of friends, and a beautiful girlfriend. He was the most popular guy in town … until a family secret burned it all to the ground. Now, he’s the object of scorn and ridicule, and the only thing he has left is his scholarship and counting down the days until he can leave town.

One goal-oriented girl…

Sunny Blackfox was alone in the world, but she had big plans and big dreams to keep her occupied. She didn’t have time for anyone in her life. That was, until she came to the rescue of the boy she always had a thing for.

They have everything going against them, but maybe, if they are lucky, they will make it out of town after graduation together … or maybe never.

FEBRUARY | State of the ARC | #01

State-of-the-ARC

State of the ARC meme

State of the ARC is a monthly meme at Avalinah’s Books meant to motivate you to finish up all your long overdue ARCs (Advanced or Early Reader Copies). You can track your reading progress and link up with your own post. Most commonly it comes out on the 30th of every month.

I’ve had my eye on this “State of the ARC” meme for a while now. I’ve never wanted to participate, since I myself am shamefully, incredibly behind on quite a few dozen ARC’s that I have. I cringe every time I think of them.

I found myself reading a few ARC’s I had this month, so I’m happy to say that I’m going to try and participate in these every month!

Hello lovelies! This is my final post for the first month of the new year! The older I get, the faster time seems to fly by and I have no idea how to handle that… As you can see by the title, today’s post is my January 2018 Wrap Up & Book Haul! Like last month, I seem to have gotten quite a few books. February is going to be one heck of a reading month, if I can find the time to read.

I didn’t have a set TBR this month. I wanted to keep things open and be able to Continue reading
