Hello friends! Welcome to my May 2019 Wrap-Up!

I hope May has treated you well; and if not I’m sorry May was a bad month for you..

My May was very entertaining reading wise. Aside from reading though, May is also one of the busiest months of the year for my family. We have Mother’s Day, my dads birthday, my parents wedding anniversary, and finally, my sister’s birthday on the 31st.

Despite the busy month, I actually managed to read a ton of books. *whispers* I also managed to buy more ebooks than I thought I did. WHOOPS!

Enjoy! Continue reading

Runes of Truth, by G. Bailey | Book Review

Hello friends! Today I have my review of
Runes of Truth (A Demon’s Fall, #1) by G. Bailey.

Trigger / Content Warning: Alcoholism, Mentions of loss of family members, Murder Mention

43835952Thief. Runaway. Assassin. What happens when your rumoured name destroys your life? When the very runes engraved on your skin since birth, are a death sentence?

Evie doesn’t remember a life before she was on the streets, a life before thieving to live and killing to stay alive.
When a royal family she didn’t know anything about go missing, Evie finds herself thrown into the royal court of the protectors, and they demand her help.
Help in exchange for a chance at freedom and the name that’s haunted her, forgotten. A name she can’t even read, a name she doesn’t understand.
But when three Royal protectors are tasked with helping her, her demon ex who is literally from hell, stalking her…will Evie ever be free?

17+ Reverse harem romance.

From GoodReads [x]:

“Reverse harem” is, literally, the opposite of “harem”, with a group of males centering round a singular female, usually with three or more males. Quite often found under the romance genre.

When I stumbled across Runes of Truth, I didn’t put much thought into the story. Meaning, I didn’t speculate and think on what might happen within the story —- which would then might make the story completely predictable to me. Continue reading

April 2019 Wrap Up + Book Haul

Hello friends! Welcome to my April Wrap-Up & Book Haul!IMG_8624

This April I did not have a set TBR and for that, I am so grateful. In fact, because I didn’t set a TBR this month I’ve read more in April than I have these past few months combined! At least it feels that way. I’d forgotten how happy I am when I manage to read a ton.

Throughout April I actually bought quite a few books. And read a few of them in April?! Which is…not something that usually happens to me, haha. I’m very relieved and happy that I somehow managed to do that. I usually buy books and then forget about them. Especially e-books. Do you forget about the e-books you’ve bought too? It’s like my number one fault regarding book buying.

I also managed to post a few things that were not book reviews! Yay time management, looooool.

February 2019 Wrap Up & MAJOR Book Haul

Hello friends, and Welcome to my February 2019 Wrap Up!

I managed to read more than I thought I would, but not as much as I had wanted to. That’s 100% OK though, since life and such things can get in the way. Which, this month, it did.

IMG_7773I also acquired a lot of books in February. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get around to reading them all or not, but I’ll have fun trying!

Onto my February To-Be-Read list though… My February TBR was a grand total of 4 books. I personally find that if I aim to read one a book a week, I’m more eager to read more than what I limit to what my TBR list includes.

The books I had on my TBR were actually four ARCs that I have. I managed to read two of the four, which is great. If I got around to completing those 4 books, I would’ve moved onto reading Wayfarer (Passenger, #2) by Alexandra Bracken, The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) by Holly Black, and finally, These Rebel Waves (Stream Raiders ,#1) by Sara Raasch.

However, the books that I actually read were: Continue reading

My Blog’s Name in Books | TAG (V.02)

my name in booksHello everyone! I know I’ve done this tag before, but I enjoyed it so much that I want to do it again.

When I first completed this tag, I used titles that I haven’t read before. This time I’m doing so again, but next time I just might change it up a bit.

If you’re interested in reading the first version I completed, then click here.

flower dividerHere are the original rules,

Rules:
• Spell out your blog’s name.
• Find a book from your TBR that begins with each letter.
NOTE: You cannot ADD to your TBR to complete this challenge – the books must already be on your Goodreads TBR. Don’t cheat my friends!!!!!

This time around I changed the rules a little bit. I did use my GoodReads TBR, but only with a handful of titles. The rest I don’t think I have on my TBR. I have these on my kindle app just waiting to be read. Which in my opinion, is just another TBR list. However a more personal one.

Here goes. Enjoy! Continue reading
