October 2019 Wrap-Up

Hello friends! Welcome to another one of my monthly wrap-ups.

I want to include some cute and witty banter, but honestly, I’ve got nothing😂. October, as per usual, was a particularly busy month for me, as it usually is every single year. Since I live in Canada, we had our Thanksgiving, friends giving, autumn turn over supper, in October! Then there were a few birthdays (including mine), and then it was Halloween.

So really, this past October was over and done before it had even begun.

Hello loves! Today I have my book review of

Rage, by K.A Knight.

Rage is the first book in the Her Monsters series.

Trigger Warnings: Graphic Violence, Graphic Rape Scene (that phases out), Murder, Death, Stalking, Abuse, Spousal Abuse, Physical Abuse, Mental Abuse, Torture, Sex.

My husband killed me.

Then he screwed his way through the city, the only problem? I didn’t stay dead. It seems killing me woke something deep inside, something so dark and buried so deep I never knew it was there.

I don’t know what I am, I don’t really care. All I can think about is revenge, even as the monsters in the dark start to surround me. Their horns and black eyes, mouths filled with fangs claiming I am theirs.

My monsters will have to wait, he will regret the day he crossed me.

Are you scared of the dark? You should be.

Let me start off my review of Rage by telling you that from the first page of when Dawn’s story starts, to about….I want to say 30-50 pages into the novel, it is extreme. 

Do not take the Trigger Warnings I’ve listed lightly. The beginning of Rage is graphic in ways that I wish I never knew, and am so fucking thankful, that I’ve never experienced this kind of abuse, terror, and torture, personally.

My “Most Anticipated Books of (Month/Year)” posts are a monthly post where I basically drool over, and talk a little about the books I’m excited to read that are going to be published very soon.
