May 2020 Wrap Up

Hello lovelies! Welcome to my May 2020 Wrap Up post.

Hey friends! I know my May 2020 Wrap Up is coming to you super late, (we’re already 2 weeks into JUNE, omg). I just wanted to say that I hope you and yours are doing well. If you’ve lost anyone close to you related to the global pandemic or otherwise, I am so sorry for your loss.

Did you get around to reading anything in May?

I actually partook in the Sea-MAYden-athon held by Leelyn, and Mir this year. It’s the first of the (hopefully) annual Sea-MAYden-athon and I’m quite happy with how I did! The participants could keep track of what they read and omg it was more fun than I expected it to be.

Truth be told, I started out strong (yay) and then I started lagging behind once I put out my first week of tally points. I think next year I’m just going to have to, I don’t know, keep my points to myself until the final days of the readathon.

So while I didn’t keep track of my readings within the readathon, I did keep track of everything I read here within my May 2020 Wrap Up!

September 2019 Wrap-Up

IMG_8624

Hello readers!

Today is the day where I post my September 2019 Wrap-Up. Let’s see what I did in the blogging world this past September, hey?

September felt like it flew by. But then again, September and onward tends to move a little more quickly than anticipated. Also, my province won’t be participating in the time-fall-back-thing, and I am pissed.

How was your September?

Enjoy!

38319561._SY475_I always knew I was different. I’d thought it had to be hidden – to stay a secret. I didn’t know my secret would become the key to my survival. Turning eighteen and getting accepted into college brings me everything I need to escape from the nightmares of my past but I never could have imagined my nightmares – and dreams – were just beginning. Finding myself thrown into a world of fantasy, politics, friendships, and rules that are nearly impossible to understand, I feel like I’m drowning in a world of shifters I never knew existed. As I struggle to find my place and prevent my nightmares from tearing me apart, I find myself surrounded by an unusual group of sexy men. With Hiro, Killian, Theo, Damien, and Ryder I’m trying to become the woman I’ve always wanted to be, if my past, and my future, will let me.

*Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse that some readers may find triggering. This book also contains some m/m themes.*

I had my eye on Born of Embers for such a long time. When I didn’t have it, I wanted to read Nix, and the others’ story so badly. But then I downloaded Born of Embers and suddenly I was apprehensive about reading it. It was only when I re-read the synopsis for Born of Embers that I actually sat down to read it. 43511268I always thought my mom was crazy, with her offerings to the fairies and whispered spells. After she died, I followed her last wishes and performed her final rites – only for my life to turn instantly upside down. My kitchen is now full of three insanely sexy and opinionated men who claim to be witches and fairy knights -and also my soulmates. They claim I have a great destiny, that I am meant to defeat the Elvish Queen, who my mother has been fleeing all of these years!

don’t want an epic destiny, though, I just want to be normal for once in my life, if there is such a thing. With the help of my new companions, Onyx, Terran, and Reed. I will discover strengths inside myself that I had never known and an underworld greater than anything I could have imagined. Now, I must find out if I have the strength to face my destiny and myself!

I 100% did not read the synopsis for this novel, so I had no idea what I was getting into when I sat to read The Guardian. I legitimately though that the cover looked interesting so I’d try this book out…and I am so glad that I did.  Continue reading

August 2019 Wrap Up

IMG_8624

Hello lovelies!

Today I have my August 2019 Wrap Up. I can’t believe how fast the month of August went by. I don’t know about you, but to me, August seems to be one of the faster months of the year. During August I had a lot going on personally, and blog-wise as well.

In August I had family from out of town visit. I also started a big Project that I hope to announce sometime soon (perhaps in the next few weeks) as well.

Blog wise, I had a lot going on too. An overload of book reviews, which might be dwindling down within the rest of the year (because of the Big Project). I also had time to post non-book-review-y things this month as well.

How was your August 2019?

Enjoy! Continue reading

May 2019 Wrap-Up & Book Haul

IMG_8624

Hello friends! Welcome to my May 2019 Wrap-Up!

I hope May has treated you well; and if not I’m sorry May was a bad month for you..

My May was very entertaining reading wise. Aside from reading though, May is also one of the busiest months of the year for my family. We have Mother’s Day, my dads birthday, my parents wedding anniversary, and finally, my sister’s birthday on the 31st.

Despite the busy month, I actually managed to read a ton of books. *whispers* I also managed to buy more ebooks than I thought I did. WHOOPS!

Enjoy! Continue reading
