August 2019 Wrap Up

Hello lovelies!

Today I have my August 2019 Wrap Up. I can’t believe how fast the month of August went by. I don’t know about you, but to me, August seems to be one of the faster months of the year. During August I had a lot going on personally, and blog-wise as well.

In August I had family from out of town visit. I also started a big Project that I hope to announce sometime soon (perhaps in the next few weeks) as well.

Blog wise, I had a lot going on too. An overload of book reviews, which might be dwindling down within the rest of the year (because of the Big Project). I also had time to post non-book-review-y things this month as well.

How was your August 2019?

Enjoy! Continue reading

The Five Brothers Next Door, by Nikki Chase | Book Review

Hello friends! Today I have my book review of

The Five Brothers Next Door, by Nikki Chase.

Trigger/Content Warnings: Verbal Abuse, Toxic Parent-Child Relationship, Harassment, Stalking, Sex Scenes.

36333034._SY475_The Hunter brothers are back in town, and all five of them have got their eyes on one lucky girl.

I’ve always had a crush on the boys next door. I used to peek from my bedroom window when they were playing in their backyard. I didn’t even care that they never looked my way.

Now that we’re all grown up and they’re home for a visit, something’s different. The way they stare at me sends a thrill down my spine. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say they’re checking me out and they like what they see.

But that’s insane, right? There’s no way the five gorgeous brothers are into me.

I try to forget about them, but we keep running into one another in this small town. One night, the Hunter brothers even save me from my harassing ex.

I’m in trouble. It’s getting harder and harder to ignore the wicked glint in their eyes, or the way they linger when we touch . . .

When they whisper in my ears, telling me all the naughty things they want to do to me, I can’t deny it any longer. I want them, too. All five of them.

It’s wrong. Oh, so wrong.

But five alpha, protective, hot-as-sin men? What chance do I have of resisting the Hunter brothers?

From GoodReads [x]:

“REVERSE HAREM” IS, LITERALLY, THE OPPOSITE OF “HAREM”, WITH A GROUP OF MALES CENTERING ROUND A SINGULAR FEMALE, USUALLY WITH THREE OR MORE MALES. QUITE OFTEN FOUND UNDER THE ROMANCE GENRE.

From reading the synopsis of The Five Brothers Next Door (I actually read a synopsis LOL), I could easily tell that this one was going to be a doozy. I also knew that Ava’s ex was going to be a huge problem, and I wasn’t wrong about that. Continue reading

July 2019 Wrap Up

IMG_8624

Hello friends! How was your July?

My July was….good, at the beginning of the month. The rest of July seemed to drag on, and on and on. Yet now that I’m thinking back on this past month, time flew by. I got quite a bit of reading done, which I’m happy about. I also posted a few things as well. I’m trying to post more than just book reviews, so if you have any post recommendations throw ’em at me.

I hope July treated you and yours well.

Enjoy!

Lemonade Stand Tag

copy-of-summer-min

Hello friends! Welcome to today’s post. As you can see by the title of this post, I’m doing the Lemonade Stand tag! The Lemonade Stand tag is a super cute tag that’s actually quite fast to do. So it’s right up my alley–I’m so excited.

The Lemonade Stand Tag was originally created by Jeimy @ A Novel Idea, though I found this tag via Lindsay @ Singer of Stories post. Check out their answers!

The Lemonade Stand Tag is part of #BESummer19, so if you’re interested in checking out the posts, I suggest you do!

Enjoy!
