February 2019 Wrap Up & MAJOR Book Haul

Hello friends, and Welcome to my February 2019 Wrap Up!

I managed to read more than I thought I would, but not as much as I had wanted to. That’s 100% OK though, since life and such things can get in the way. Which, this month, it did.

IMG_7773I also acquired a lot of books in February. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get around to reading them all or not, but I’ll have fun trying!

Onto my February To-Be-Read list though… My February TBR was a grand total of 4 books. I personally find that if I aim to read one a book a week, I’m more eager to read more than what I limit to what my TBR list includes.

The books I had on my TBR were actually four ARCs that I have. I managed to read two of the four, which is great. If I got around to completing those 4 books, I would’ve moved onto reading Wayfarer (Passenger, #2) by Alexandra Bracken, The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) by Holly Black, and finally, These Rebel Waves (Stream Raiders ,#1) by Sara Raasch.

However, the books that I actually read were: Continue reading

41732287The harmony between humans and fianna, a species of shape-shifting deer, begins to wither as racial tensions and deeply rooted resentment turns violent.

Ruthless hunter Finn Hail and prophesied liberator Adelaide may be heroes to their own species, but they are enemies to each other. With war on the horizon, the reluctant pair must team up to find the most elusive of prey: the god of the Forest.

As enemies press in from all sides, true intentions begin to show. For Finn to save the boy he cares for most, he might need to aim his gun at the very god he seeks. And Adelaide, with her festering hatred for mankind, will have to determine if peace holds true salvation for her people.

Publication Date: February 11, 2019.

January 2019 Wrap Up, Book Haul & Thoughts

img_7631Hello friends! Welcome, welcome. Today’s post is my January 2019 (!!!!!!!!) Wrap Up and Book Haul.

It’s been long time since I last posted a monthly TBR on my Instagram… When I first posted my TBR for January, I wasn’t sure on whether or not I’d end up completing the TBR pile since I was pretty sick between the day after Christmas until through halfway of January.

The books I had planned to read this month were:

State of the ARC | #10

State-of-the-ARC

STATE OF THE ARC MEME

State of the ARC is a monthly meme at Avalinah’s Books meant to motivate you to finish up all your long overdue ARCs (Advanced or Early Reader Copies). You can track your reading progress and link up with your own post. Most commonly it comes out on the 30th of every month.

Hello, and welcome friends!

I’m back at it in the ARC game. In January I had a difficult time not requesting books simply because there were so many titles that caught my attention. I ended up requesting a few of them, which in hindsight, is almost a burden to myself since I already have quite a few already to go through.

Since it’s still January, a goal I aim to achieve for 2019 is to get through almost all of the ARCs I have, and will acquire. Though the best thing I could do for myself would be to be able to read all of them. Yikes! Continue reading

Most Anticipated Books of February 2019

Hello friends! Today’s post is my Most Anticipated Books of February 2019! Isn’t that exciting?! Most of these books I’ve found by perusing Netgalley’s site, or I’ve found on GoodReads.

My “Most Anticipated Books of (Month/Year)” posts are a monthly post where I basically drool over, and talk a little about the books I’m excited to read that are going to be published very soon.

Enjoy!
