March 2019 Wrap Up

Hello friends! Todays post is my March Wrap Up.

Doesn’t it seem like it was yesterday when I did my February Wrap Up?

My To Be Read list for March didn’t include anything special — or anything at all. Last month I had a set TBR and I was so unhappy with it. I am a mood reader to the core, so when I set reading goals for myself… I end up stressing myself out to the point where I can’t, or won’t finish the TBR list I had set for myself.

For March though, my reading goals were to just have fun reading. Which, honestly, should be a monthly reading goal for the rest of my life.

Here’s what happened in March. Continue reading

I See You, by Clare Mackintosh | Book Review

Hello friends! In today’s post I will be reviewing Clare Mackintosh’s book, I See You.

Trigger Warnings: Rape Mention, Murder Mention, Stalking, Stalking Mention

33916880It all starts during her commute home one night. Zoe Walker glances through her local paper and sees her own face staring back at her in a classified ad. With the grainy photo is a phone number and a listing for a website called FindTheOne.com.

In the following days, she sees other women in the same ad, a different one every day, and nearly all of them show up in the newspapers as victims of increasingly violent crimes–including murder.

With the help of a determined cop, Zoe uncovers the ad’s twisted purpose…And suddenly, the man on the train sitting across the car–the one smiling at Zoe–could be more than just a friendly stranger. He could be someone who has deliberately chosen her and is ready to make his next move…

In terms of summoning up I See You in two words, I would use “Ohh boy.”

I expected that I See You would have some creepy elements to the story. I didn’t think that the creepiness would go that far! Continue reading

February 2019 Wrap Up & MAJOR Book Haul

Hello friends, and Welcome to my February 2019 Wrap Up!

I managed to read more than I thought I would, but not as much as I had wanted to. That’s 100% OK though, since life and such things can get in the way. Which, this month, it did.

IMG_7773I also acquired a lot of books in February. I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get around to reading them all or not, but I’ll have fun trying!

Onto my February To-Be-Read list though… My February TBR was a grand total of 4 books. I personally find that if I aim to read one a book a week, I’m more eager to read more than what I limit to what my TBR list includes.

The books I had on my TBR were actually four ARCs that I have. I managed to read two of the four, which is great. If I got around to completing those 4 books, I would’ve moved onto reading Wayfarer (Passenger, #2) by Alexandra Bracken, The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) by Holly Black, and finally, These Rebel Waves (Stream Raiders ,#1) by Sara Raasch.

However, the books that I actually read were: Continue reading

Thrillerathon was created by @ Harriet_Rosie_ on Twitter, and is taking place from February 18-24. That’s 7 days! I have more than a few books I plan on reading. However, I’m a mood reader to the core. I may not end up reading any or even all of the books I’ve planned. Yikes!

If you’re interested in joining in, or reading along with the Thriller-a-thon, here’s the thrillerathon page on Twitter.

What I’m reading:
