The Fire Thief, by Gwynn White & Erin St. Pierre.

The Fire Thief is the first book in The Fire Thief series.

Throughout The Fire Thief, the story was entertaining and therefore kept my interest piqued.

However, I thought it’d take longer to read The Fire Thief than I actually took to be honest. Like a few hours. And I don’t know if that’s a good thing or if it’s a bad thing.

I really like that there’s only one point of view from the main character. Though I also enjoyed how easily the other characters could be read too.

I like the powers in this novel. I actually really enjoy Elemental stories. But with the Elemental stories that I’ve read, there’s something that always happens. It always happens–which is great and fun. But overused.

Nearing the end of The Fire Thief, I was honestly getting worried for our main character here. She has new secrets that she has to keep, and I don’t know how long those secrets will be kept.

I give The Fire Thief, 3.5 stars.
