I can’t lie to you here.. I certainly found Love the Sea interesting. I mean, I couldn’t have stopped reading if I had wanted to. I needed to find out what happened.

And there’s quite a bit that went on in Love the Sea.

Hello friends! Today I have my review of Escape the Sea by G. Bailey.

Escape the Sea is the first book in the Saved by Pirates trilogy. 

Seven towns. Seven seas. The seven council. The seven words every person lives by.

The sea is lost, pirates are death.

Cassandra should have been killed at birth, like all the other children who have powers like her.

The changed ones.

The ones who started the war, lost the seas and killed millions with their gifts.

Lucky for Cassandra, her father is on the council. One of the seven rulers of her large town and has kept her hidden her entire life.

When she is seen for the first time, she has no choice but to run and the only place she can go is to the sea.

To the pirates and a certain death.

At least that is what she thinks. When she meets six handsome pirates and they take her on board their ship, she learns about a whole new world.

If only she can protect her heart when they all desire to own it.

I thought, for $3, why not? I’m so glad that I bought and read Escape the Sea. Of all the G. Bailey books that I’ve read, this trilogy feels like the least forced dialogued story.

August 2019 Wrap Up

Hello lovelies!

Today I have my August 2019 Wrap Up. I can’t believe how fast the month of August went by. I don’t know about you, but to me, August seems to be one of the faster months of the year. During August I had a lot going on personally, and blog-wise as well.

In August I had family from out of town visit. I also started a big Project that I hope to announce sometime soon (perhaps in the next few weeks) as well.

Blog wise, I had a lot going on too. An overload of book reviews, which might be dwindling down within the rest of the year (because of the Big Project). I also had time to post non-book-review-y things this month as well.

Adelaide’s Fate is a book that I’d had my eye on for a while prior to reading. I didn’t know what to expect, as I didn’t read beyond what the cover said. Which, admittedly, isn’t a whole lot. Haha. However, I knew that because Adelaide’s Fate is a G. Bailey novel, it had to be good–and if not, Adelaide’s Fate would be at least, interesting.

What confused me the most about the beginning of Winter’s Kiss is how easily Winter accepts her mates. In the last book, Winter’s Guardian, Winter was disbelieving–incredibly reluctant to even admit that she has feelings for her guys.

July 2019 Wrap Up

Hello friends! How was your July?

My July was….good, at the beginning of the month. The rest of July seemed to drag on, and on and on. Yet now that I’m thinking back on this past month, time flew by. I got quite a bit of reading done, which I’m happy about. I also posted a few things as well. I’m trying to post more than just book reviews, so if you have any post recommendations throw ’em at me.

In the way that the previous book ended, I could not tell you how I thought that Wings of Fire would end. I genuinely didn’t know what to expect.
