Hello, reader(s)! Welcome to my last post for 2019! It’s wild that 2019 has gone by extremely quickly. No? I can’t even remember the first 10 months, haha.

Beyond 2019 moving quickly, December absolutely flew by! Though December always flies by every year. This month I actually read more than I thought I did! Which is honestly a great thing. I’ve got to stay sane somehow ya know? Haha.

Every Which Way But Dead, by Kim Harrison | Book Review

Hello friends, today I have my book review of

Every Which Way But Dead, by Kim Harrison.

Every Which Way But Dead is the 3rd book in The Hollows series.

30263There’s no witch in Cincinnati tougher, sexier, or more screwed up than bounty hunter Rachel Morgan, who’s already put her love life and soul in dire jeopardy through her determined efforts to bring criminal night creatures to justice.

Between “runs,” she has her hands full fending off the attentions of her blood-drinking partner, keeping a deadly secret from her backup, and resisting a hot new vamp suitor.

Rachel must also take a stand in the war that’s raging in the city’s underworld, since she helped put away its former vampire kingpin – and made a deal with a powerful demon to do so that could cost her an eternity of pain, torment, and degradation.

And now her dark “master” is coming to collect his due.

I genuinely didn’t know what to expect when I started reading Every Which Way But Dead. I don’t like reading the synopsis’ for books in a series. I honestly prefer being surprised versus knowing what’s going to happen.

There were a few things that surprised me throughout Every Which Way But Dead. The first being Kisten. Kisten gives off a certain vibe; he can be completely arrogant (and rude), and then on the other hand, Kisten is this Boss Man. That’s what Kisten gives out. So what shocked me about Kisten in this book, was his softer side. I was shocked that he could provide safety, and shocked that Kisten even has the moral grounds of things that he won’t do.

I had a great time reading Every Which Way But Dead. The antics that Rachel gets into end up being more and more dangerous as the story goes on. As well as her life becoming more and more bizarre.

I’m glad that I stuck out and actually read the entirety of Every Which Way But Dead because there were a few times that I ended up laughing as well.

I’d give a more detailed review of Every Which Way But Dead, but it’s been 2 months since I finished this Hollows addition.

I give Every Which Way But Dead, 3.5 stars!

Library Reads #45

library readsHELLO FRIENDS! TODAY I’M TALKING A LITTLE ABOUT THE BOOKS I’VE BORROWED RECENTLY FROM THE LIBRARY.

Library Reads: I’m a huge fan of libraries. I tend to visit the library quite often, and I even come across great finds. These Library Reads posts are where I write a tad about the books I’ve borrowed.

In this post I’ll write about what books I borrowed, and what I think of the books before I actually start reading them. Whether what I say is a sentence or a few sentences long, here I catalogue the books I’ve borrowed. — From doing these posts I hope to spread a little love for libraries and the stories they can give us.

HERE ARE THE BOOKS I BORROWED FROM THE LIBRARY RECENTLY!

Enjoy! Continue reading
