Hello lovelies! Welcome to my May 2020 Wrap Up post.

Hey friends! I know my May 2020 Wrap Up is coming to you super late, (we’re already 2 weeks into JUNE, omg). I just wanted to say that I hope you and yours are doing well. If you’ve lost anyone close to you related to the global pandemic or otherwise, I am so sorry for your loss.

Did you get around to reading anything in May?

I actually partook in the Sea-MAYden-athon held by Leelyn, and Mir this year. It’s the first of the (hopefully) annual Sea-MAYden-athon and I’m quite happy with how I did! The participants could keep track of what they read and omg it was more fun than I expected it to be.

Truth be told, I started out strong (yay) and then I started lagging behind once I put out my first week of tally points. I think next year I’m just going to have to, I don’t know, keep my points to myself until the final days of the readathon.

So while I didn’t keep track of my readings within the readathon, I did keep track of everything I read here within my May 2020 Wrap Up!

November & December Wrap Up + BOOK HAUL! | 2018

monthly-wrap-up-book-haul-1Hello friends! I’m back, finally. And it’s nearing the end of this year! Woah, this past year went by so quickly, so I’m certain that the next years will go by even faster.

The break I had taken from blogging was actually a great thing that I chose to do. Not only did I decide at the last minute to hand craft a bunch of gifts this year, but I did so with very little time left in the year. Now that the holidays have passed I can read again!!

Having not reading as much as I wanted to these last few months have been a huge bummer. I still read here and there, and there was even a week or two where I did nothing but read or watch anime and catch up on a few youtube videos, but I missed being able to read whenever I wanted to, and I missed being able to participate in the book community.. Like I said though, I did manage to read a bit!

With this post being a wrap up of the last two months of my life, not much has happened on Adele Is Reading, thus, the Wrap Up’s are going to be shorter than usual. Continue reading

Cry Wolf, by Patricia Briggs | Book Review #147

2355575Anna never knew werewolves existed, until the night she survived a violent attack… and became one herself. After three years at the bottom of the pack, she’d learned to keep her head down and never, ever trust dominant males. Then Charles Cornick, the enforcer—and son—of the leader of the North American werewolves, came into her life.

Charles insists that not only is Anna his mate, but she is also a rare and valued Omega wolf. And it is Anna’s inner strength and calming presence that will prove invaluable as she and Charles go on the hunt in search of a rogue werewolf—a creature bound in magic so dark that it could threaten all of the pack.”

TRIGGER WARNING: Rape Mention, Suicide Mention, Self-Harm Mention. Continue reading

Library Reads | #15

libraryrreads

Hello lovelies! I have said, somewhere in previous posts, that I need to stop reading library books, and start focusing my attention on the many books I own. However, I always seem to be finding myself at the library picking up more and more books. Today’s post is no exception.

If you didn’t know, these Library Reads posts are for me to catalogue the books that I get out of the library. I put down a few thoughts of the books that I’ve borrowed prior to reading them.  Continue reading
