August 2019 Wrap Up

Hello lovelies!

Today I have my August 2019 Wrap Up. I can’t believe how fast the month of August went by. I don’t know about you, but to me, August seems to be one of the faster months of the year. During August I had a lot going on personally, and blog-wise as well.

In August I had family from out of town visit. I also started a big Project that I hope to announce sometime soon (perhaps in the next few weeks) as well.

Blog wise, I had a lot going on too. An overload of book reviews, which might be dwindling down within the rest of the year (because of the Big Project). I also had time to post non-book-review-y things this month as well.

Most Anticipated Books of August 2019

Hello friends! It’s time for another one of my Most Anticipated Books (of the month) post.

 This time we’re looking at the books that are coming out in August 2019.

My “Most Anticipated Books of (Month/Year)” posts are a monthly post where I basically drool over, and talk a little about the books I’m excited to read that are going to be published very soon.

The covers and synopsis’ for these books will both be from GoodReads.

This time around, I really only have 6 books that I’m looking forward to.

My Favourite Reads of 2018

Hello friends! As the title says, today’s post is all about my Favourite Reads of 2018.

The beginning of 2018 turned out to be a great start of the year for me. I read quite a few books and they still make me feel things after the fact.

I know there are other people who like (or follow the trend) to narrow down their favourite reads to a certain number. For example, back in 2010-2015 people would have posts like “My top 10 books of 2010!” and the number would go higher every year. I’m not judging you if you did this yourself. If you did end up doing this, then kudos to you and I hope you had fun creating those posts. For me personally though, I don’t like narrowing down my favourite reads to a certain number. — I 100% prefer to just…let my favourite reads be my favourite reads without having to narrow them down.

With that been said, I’ve listed my 11 favourite reads out of the 156 novels I read last year.

Without a further ado, here are my favourite reads of 2018!

The Wild Hunt (Faerie Sworn, #1, and trilogy) by Ron C. Nieto

Let me just say that I loved everything about this series. I genuinely enjoyed reading about the whirlwind that our main character, Lily, rode on. What I also liked about this series was that the male fae that accompanied Lily is…who he is. Haha, that was me avoiding any spoilers. (my review)

February 2018 | Wrap Up & Mini Book Haul

I didn’t have a set ‘To Be Read” pile/list for February, but I did want to try and read at least 10 ARC’s that I have. I’m so freakin’ happy to say that I’ve read 11 ARC’s! I DNF’d 3 of them, but I’m counting them as read, since I read enough to get a handle on the story. 

Roar, by Cora Carmack | Book Review #320

My thoughts before reading Roar were a jumbled mess. I wasn’t sure or not if I’d end up liking Roar at all. The synopsis at times seems sketchy at best and is vague in terms of the story in full. I had immensely high hopes for Roar. I wanted to like this story really badly

Library Reads #34

Library Reads: I’m a huge fan of Libraries. I tend to visit the library quite a bit, so these posts are where I document the books I’ve borrowed from the library of my hometown, or one of a few libraries that I go to.
I’ll tell you a little bit about what I expect from the book, or the author’s writings. Whether what I say is a sentence long, or a few sentence’s. From doing these posts, I hope to spread a little bit of my love for libraries, while also informing you of books that you may or may not have known of!

I can’t believe that it’s May already! Time has been going by faster and faster! I’m not going to lie.. The fact that time seems to be moving at a faster pace is incredibly worrisome to me. Anyhow! • Aurabel by Laura Dockrill — YA

Aurabel seems like a pretty interesting novel. Aurabel, I believe is a book about mermaids and their political standings in The Whirl. — Which I am assuming is underwater, since they’re mermaids.
