Recent + Not so Recent Favourite Books

Hello friends! Today’s post is all about my recent + not-so recent favourite books. Some of these books, as you can tell by the title, are books that I’ve read recently that have quickly become my favourites. While some of the books are stories that I’ve read not-so recently that are still my favourites.

• We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

The first book we have up in this post is We Were Liars. We Were Liars is a book that kept me completely transfixed in the story. So much so that everything that happens completely blew me away and I honestly bawled my eyes out and ugly cried. The reason why I love this book is because Lockhart’s story; the main characters’ story painted such a picture in my mind. The reason why I love this book is because this book made me cry.

Books that Remind Me of Autumn

Hello! I thought today’s post would be about the books that remind me of Autumn, and why they do so. So without a further adieu, here are the books that remind me of Autumn!

These books have a certain colour scheme, or for some subconsious reason, the cover just strikes me as Autumn. Or I’ve read the book and in my head I now associate a certain book with the Autumn months. Are there any books that remind you of Autumn/Fall? Let me know!

Fall Time, Cozy Time | Book Tag

Autumn/Fall; whichever you prefer, is my favourite season. I was born in Autumn, and Autumn will remain my favourite. The main reason why I like Autumn the most is because I feel like I can finally stretch my body comfortably. I love the feeling of the cold wrap around my body, I am home. I am home during the cooler months.

I found this tag via Lindsey @paradisbooks. I haven’t actually done a tag in a while, so this should be exciting! For me anyway, haha.

July Wrap Up | 2017

Hello, everyone! Today’s post will be my Wrap-Up for July. July was an especially weird month for me, weather wise. I remember it rained for a little bit here and there. Usually in the summer months it doesn’t rain. At all. Let’s get down to it, shall we?

My TBR for July consisted of 4 books: The first book would be a re-read, and the rest being books I haven’t read before but, they’re part of their own series. The books making my TBR this month were (from left to right): The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (The Ubncemoning of Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin, The Infinite (Gates of Thread and Stone, #2) by Lori M. Lee, Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes, #3) by Sara Raasch, and finally, The Fate of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #3) by Erika Johansen.

When I first saw this book, I thought, ‘Hey, what a pretty spine this book has. Let’s see what it’s about.’ I then flipped the book over so I could read the back of the book and ended up being incredibly intrigued by what I read. And since the only reason why I picked Beautiful Decay off the shelves was because I thought that this books spine was pretty, I knew it wouldn’t hurt if I just borrowed the book and gave it a chance.

June Book Haul & Wrap Up | 2017

June has come and gone. What happened to the time?! I can’t believe its July first tomorrow; which means that my country is celebrating its’ 150th birthday! Happy Early Birthday, Canada!

I had nine (9) books, turned eight (8) on my TBR this month. The books from left to right were: The Almost Truth by Eileen Cook, Year of Mistaken Discoveries by Eileen Cook, Twisted by Hannah Jayne, The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid, Bright Smoke Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge, The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand, The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han, Flashfall by Jenny Moyer, & Fireworks by Katie Cotungo.

April Wrap Up | 2017

Hello all! I have been enjoying sitting in my room with my blinds and window open as of late. I love the sounds that surround early spring. I don’t know about where you live, but here where I live, I hear the traffic on the nearby bypass, the birds at both 5-6 AM & PM. I hear people outside doing their spring cleaning, and I hear kids playing around outside. That’s when it’s sunny. — When it’s raining (which I still love) I tend to hear the rain hitting the roof, along with the white noise that accompanies rain. I don’t usually hear all that much traffic when it rains, which is a nice break!

This month my To Be Read consisted of four (4) books!

Books to Read on a Rainy Day

I don’t know about where you live, but where I live, the weather in Spring tends to either be wet and rainy, sunny and chilly, or be both at the same time. It could rain for 3 days straight, and then sunny for the next week and we won’t see a drop of rain. The weather here in Vancouver and Greater Vancouver Area, is very unpredictable. In fact, the only predictable thing about Vancouver is the unpredictable Spring weather.

I usually know when spring is here when there’s a huge and fast thunder storm that blows by. There will be hail, and extreme winds, followed by the rumble of thunder that rattles the house. Sometimes there will be lightning as well. The whole shebang. —-However, all of these books that I’ve listed are books that I could read over and over again.

Here are a few of the many books I’ve read that I could read over and over again, yet would be perfect for rainy, and/or stormy weather.
