Hello and welcome to Adele Is Reading.
Today on the blog, I have my book reviews of:
The Tracker’s Mate, The Tracker’s Secret, and The Tracker’s Rage, by Ingrid Seymour.
These books are, respectively, the first, second, and third books in the Mate Tracker series.
Unfortunately past-me didn’t take note of any possible triggers.

For the sake of saving time, I’m not going to be posting the synopsis’ for each book. However, feel free to take a perusal at your own leisure. Simply click on either the covers, or the titles listed above, to be sent to their respective GoodReads’ pages.
The first book in this series is The Tracker’s Mate, and we see how the main character is trying to convince herself that she’s over her ex. Spoiler alert: she’s not. Not at all.
Nevertheless, I really liked The Tracker’s Mate. I cant remember much because I read the first three books of the series in one sitting. Whoops. Sorry not sorry, ahaha.
And then book 2 (The Tracker’s Secret), and book 3 (The Tracker’s Rage) didn’t actually get any notes jotted down! I’m kinda smacking myself in the face for that one, since I would’ve really liked to (now) recollect my thoughts on the books so I can continue on with the series.
Here are my past impressions of all three books. Sorry for the messy thoughts! …
So, for the first 3 books, I can say that there are more mysteries surrounding Toni than she believes. When these secrets come to light, I’d say she reacted how I would have, given her situation.
It’s plain as day how Toni doesn’t like being lied to, and she tends to give people one chance: either you give her the truth, or she’ll find out somehow anyway. And when Toni learns these secrets, it’s like you’re put on a blacklist—-she won’t trust you as far as she can throw you.
I love the magical properties within the novel. The series focuses more on Wolf–Shifters, but we see other supernatural beings as well: Vampires (who CAN go out during the day, and Don’t Sparkle), to fae, to creatures that inhabit the Fae lands. Of course, there are witches and different types of witches. And there are people who don’t have a lick of magic either.
I love Toni’s character. I want to believe that she’s just like me with the secrets and lies (how she gives people one chance) and how Toni is stubborn and doesn’t easily relent to others. — That’s not to say she knows when she needs to back off, she’s very aware of all of that.
I didn’t know if I would like the series to be honest with you, but I’m so glad that I gave the series (so far) a chance. ‘Cause wowee, I sure do like it!
Though the synopsis give off the idea that Toni’s story will be more of a Mate–finding one, there’s a lot of mystery that Toni and those close to her have to work through.
I’m giving books 1 – 3, 4 stars each.
Thank you for stopping by.
See you soon, and happy reading!
