Hello and welcome to Adele Is Reading!
Today on the blog I have my book review of:
The Dark Eden is the second book in the Elemental Eden series.
Trigger / Content Warning: Sex, Fighting.
Please Note that there is a chance that I didn’t get around to noting all the possible triggers within The Dark Eden.
Fire destroys everything it touches.
The elemental carriers were right when they said that it was the most potent gift.
Ever since I unlocked mine, my mind hasn’t felt the same.
It was a surge of power I wasn’t expecting, but now I’m out for vengeance.
Vengeance against Asher, Jade, and anyone who’s ever done me wrong.
I’m not the lost eden anymore, now I’m dark- and there’s no turning back.
From GoodReads [x]:
“REVERSE HAREM” IS, LITERALLY, THE OPPOSITE OF “HAREM”, WITH A GROUP OF MALES CENTERING ROUND A SINGULAR FEMALE, USUALLY WITH THREE OR MORE MALES. QUITE OFTEN FOUND UNDER THE ROMANCE GENRE.
There are spoilers for The Dark Eden within this post. Please read at your own discretion.
I’m just going to state it here-and-now: I practically have no notes whatsoever regarding The Dark Eden. Not to let that deter me, let’s get on with this super short review!
The Dark Eden, I found, was ex-qui-site. Exquisite. Magnifico, *chef’s kiss*. The perfect sequel to The Lost Eden.
TDE is incredibly entertianing, and the best part is that there was another love interest introduced that I am kind of fawning over.
With this second book we see Eden learn more about her powers, and in fact, gains another! The plot was fascinating–I couldn’t stop reading if I had wanted to. I absolutely devoured The Dark Eden. Sat my ass down and didn’t move for the next 75 minutes.
I’m going to publicly note that if you’re averse to sex, don’t want to read books with sex in them, don’t care for sex–you get the gist. Don’t read The Dark Eden. The sex scenes were “steamy” as fuuuck.
I’m giving The Dark Eden 4 stars.
Have you read any Reverse Harem before?
Thank you for stopping by.
See you soon, and happy reading.
