Hello friends! How has the week treated you?

Today’s post is a quick little post wherein I’ll be sharing the first sentence of a book with you, of which I haven’t read yet.

I can’t breathe. The trees are a blur of colors, the greens, browns, and reds tumbling and writhing together as I whip my head searching. I can’t see them, but I know they’re out there. Just like I know something’s wrong.

Should I change these posts into First Bits Friday’s? I think I should, haha. I always end up sharing more than the first sentence of the book anyway!

Flame Kissed (Phoenix Rising, #1) by Annie Anderson — Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance

To say I’m having a rough century would be a vast understatement.
I’m on the run, plagued by visions of death, and forced to rely on the man who killed my husband. Yeah, my life is just peachy.

But when the truth shakes out, I find that maybe Rhys didn’t ruin my life those many years ago. Maybe he saved it. Now, it’s my turn to save us both.

Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance? YES, please. I’m going to dive into Flame Kissed as soon(!) as(!) I’m(!) able to!!

I am so close to wanting to read Flame Kissed. In actuality I’ve probably already read it by the time you’ve seen this particular FLF post, haha.

To be honest with you, I don’t know what to expect from Flame Kissed, at all. Even with reading the synopsis.
