Hello friends! Today I have my book review of
Awakened, by Jada Fisher.
Awakened is the second book in the The Brindle Dragon series.
Trigger Warnings: Bullying, Bullying Mention.
More than just the latest batch of dragons has been awakened.
An epic dragon riding adventure from Jada Fisher, author of the popular Dragon Oracle series.Eist has her hands full with her truly unique dragon. With her grandfather, and mentor, out of commission, she has no choice but to embrace her training. And her destiny. But she can’t seem to shake the feeling that something is wrong. Can she figure out what before it’s too late for her grandfather?
Awakened is the second book in the Brindle Dragon series which follows the story of a young girl and her most unusual dragon as they set out to defeat an evil they don’t even know exists.
The first book, Chosen, ended in an intriguing way so I dove into reading Awakened not too long afterwards. Actually, probably right after I finished reading Chosen..
Eist’s bully finally got punished. I’m glad that Eist’s bully finally got punished because it proves that the school doesn’t allow negative behaviour.
There’s quite a lot that happens in Awakened, and let me tell you that I am so happy that I actually took the time to read this second instalment.
What surprised me the most about Awakened was that we learn more about Eist’s lineage, and her grandfather is awake again!
Another thing that surprised me was how Ain was there at the end of the novel. I never took him to be a Tsundere, but here we are.
I look forward to reading Taken, the third book in The Brindle Dragon series.
Overall, I give Awakened, 3 stars.
Have you read The Brindle Dragon series? Have you read anything else by Jada Fisher?
Thank you for stopping by!
See you soon, and Happy Reading!
Adele
