Library Reads #45

library readsHELLO FRIENDS! TODAY I’M TALKING A LITTLE ABOUT THE BOOKS I’VE BORROWED RECENTLY FROM THE LIBRARY.

Library Reads: I’m a huge fan of libraries. I tend to visit the library quite often, and I even come across great finds. These Library Reads posts are where I write a tad about the books I’ve borrowed.

In this post I’ll write about what books I borrowed, and what I think of the books before I actually start reading them. Whether what I say is a sentence or a few sentences long, here I catalogue the books I’ve borrowed. — From doing these posts I hope to spread a little love for libraries and the stories they can give us.

HERE ARE THE BOOKS I BORROWED FROM THE LIBRARY RECENTLY!

Enjoy!

Kingdom of Ash and Briars (The Nissera Chronicles, #1) by Hannah West

KOAAB is actually a re-borrow since the last time I had this book, I didn’t get to finish it. This time I’ve finished reading it, and I have my review coming out soon!

Realm of Ruin (The Nissera Chronicles, #2) by Hannah West

With how Kingdom of Ash and Briars ended, I’m not totally sure how Realm of Ruin will play out. However, I have a felling (and I hope this comes ture) that Bristal is as badass in Realm of Ruin as she looks on the cover.

The Devils You Know by M.C. Atwood

The Devils You Know is a YA Horror book. Now, I’m very finicky with the Horror books that I read. they have to meet a certain je ne sais quoi  for me to even begin to enjoy the story. So, hopefully The Devils You Know meets those circumstances.

(Ended up returning this one because I quickly lost interest, unfortunately.)

Kill the Queen (Crown of Shards, #1) by Jennifer Estep

I’ve only recently just heard about Kill the Queen, but booooooi am I excited for it!!! It has been a while since I last read a novel by Estep, and Kill the Queen is fairly new. So you can imagine my excitement. I haven’t read the synopsis for Kill the Queen, because I want to go into this novel not knowing what to expect.

Every Which Way But Dead (The Hollows, #3) by Kim Harrison

I’m slowly making my way through The Hollows series. I found that I didn’t particularly like the first book. However, the rest of the series was still recommended to me since, apparently, the series gets better with every book. So I’m going to be slowly making my way through the series in hopes that I’ll enjoy it–’cause I do love a good Urban Fantasy story/series.

I also borrowed books 4 (A Fistful of Charms) & 5 (For a Few Demons More) as well.

Priest of Bones (War for the Rose Throne, #1) by Peter McLean

Found the second book in the series, and then of course I searched it on GoodReads and found that of course the book that I found was the second in the series. But I also saw that I had the first book Priest of Bones on my TBR already.

Now A Major Motion Picture by Cori McCarthy

When I read the synopsis for Now A Major Motion Picture I was so freaking giddy because this story is going to be so friggin’ cute. I expect to be repulsed by how cute this story could be.

Beneath the Citadel by Destiny Soria

I’ve been wanting to read Beneath the Citadel for a while now (story of my life tbh). I actually debated on whether or not to buy myself an e-copy of BTC. Yet there’s always this little niggle at the back of my mind that says “What if you don’t like it?” so. I put Beneath the Citadel out of my mind. Then randomly found it at the library and decided to try it out.

Are there any books that you’ve borrowed recently?

Thank you for stopping by!

See you soon, and Happy Reading!
