Road to Winter, by Lily Archer.

Road To Winter is the second book in the Fae’s Captive series.

The fae king is growing on me. Every touch, look, and night spent in his arms is slowly melting my resistance. When his feral side takes over, something inside me wants to let go and give him everything. With each passing day, the pull is getting harder to deny…

But, the road to the winter realm is full of danger. And, I need to concentrate on finding my way home, not on the promises of pleasure Leander whispers in my ear at night. Even so, how long can I resist the intoxicating kiss of winter?

Within Road To Winter there are quite a few things that happen. Since there are two very different points of view within this series, both Taylor and Leander keep things interesting.

Taylor being Taylor, she still wants to go home. Taylor doesn’t know much about the world that she was thrust into

Leander…is a difficult character for me to talk about–he’s King Fae in the Winter kingdom. And Leander, feeling the Mating Bond every single moment of every single day has a rough time going about things. Yet the longer that he does not fulfilling the Mating Bond, the more berserk he will become towards Taylor in terms of claiming her as his Mate.

Not laying claim to a Mating Bond can be very disastrous for both Mates and anyone around them.

We meet a new people, which is good. This kept the story interesting, especially because these people were only rumours to everyone. I actually came to like quite a few of the new characters within this second book.

There were a few twists and turns in the story that I didn’t expect, so having those happen were another thing that kept me reading the story. I was curious to know what would result in what had happened.

If I’m remembering correctly, there were even a few steamy moments in this second book as well.

And yes, I know that my review of Road To Winter is incredibly vague. It’s been a while since I finished reading RTW, so I’ve forgotten what had really happened.

I give Road To Winter, 3 stars.
