Hello friends! Today’s post is about the book series that I want to finish within this year. Since were still in the beginning months of the year, I thought that this would be the perfect time to create this post.
A few series I aim to finish in 2019 are:
Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab
I’ve only read the first book, A Darker Shade of Magic, but I want to re-read it and add any tabs that I think might be necessary. Or if there’s a bit of magic that I like, I’d love to be able to pull out the book and flip to that page, you know?
Not a Drop to Drink duology by Mindy McGinnis
So this duology is more like 2 stand alone novels in my opinion because the first book is in Lynn’s point of view. In the second novel we don’t read from Lynn’s point of view, because in the second novel the story takes place quite a few years later, if I’m remembering correctly.
The Young Elites series by Marie Lu
I’ve read The Young Elites, which is the first book in the trilogy. However, because of how The Young Elites ends, I’m still unsure on whether or not I want to pursue reading the second and third book in the series. The Young Elites was such a fantastic book that I would love getting to know more about their world. ….But I’m not sure on whether or not I want to read from all of those points of view.
The 5th Wave trilogy by Rick Yancey
I’ve only read the first and second book in the 5th Wave trilogy. I was actually pretty pissed about the second novel because the events in The Infinite Sea are just filler scenes. So when I get around to reading The Last Star, I hope the conclusion will be a thrilling one.
Passenger duology by Alexandra Bracken
I’ve actually had the second book to the Passenger duology for a while now. It’s just a matter of me getting around to reading Wayfarer, since I keep on forgetting about it.
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
Much like other series I’ve read, I’ve read the first two novels, but have yet to read the last two. I’m in an internal fight with myself on wanting to finish the series, or just letting it be and have my ship remain my ship without any intrusions that the author created. Which I do know about thanks to spoilers, haha.
The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani
I’ve had this trilogy / series for a few years now. I’ve been meaning to review the books, but I keep on running into technical problems on my end of things. I’m looking forward to diving back into this world.
Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick
I’ve read the first two books, so I only have to read the remaining two novels. I’m going to be re-reading the first two books because I’ve legitimately forgotten what has happened in both Hush, Hush, and Crescendo. Which is very funny to me, since the Hush Hush series is an Angel vs Demons saga.
The Blood of Eden trilogy by Julie Kagawa
The Blood of Eden trilogy is a series that I hold dear to my heart. I loved the first book, The Immortal Rules, and have actually read said novel quite a few times. I love that the vampires in this series are the type of vampire that we are more familiar with — the type that burn if said vampire goes into the sunlight.
Are there any series that you want to finish reading?
Thank you for stopping by!
See you soon, and Happy Reading!

I can’t wait for this year to finish the Caraval series. Although I don’t want it to end, I am really excited to read the ‘Finale’. 🙂

I can’t even think of Finale right now, haha. I still have no idea when I’m going to get around to reading Legendary!😂

I haven’t started the Shades of Magic trilogy or the Young Elites series yet but they’re on my TBR. So is the School for Good and Evil series (I read the first book last year). The Raven Cycle is so good! Enjoy!
I just did a similar post on my blog:

I hope we end up liking the Shades of Magic trilogy and the Young Elites series. 😬
I’m looking forward to finishing my reading of The School for Good and Evil series, but I’m not looking forward to re-reading the first two books, haha.
I am SO excited for The Raven Cycle.
I’m checking out your post right now☺️ — Thank you for the lovely comment!

I hope we do too! 😍
I liked The School for Good and Evil but I haven’t felt like continuing it just yet. I own the next two books so I should read them at some point but I haven’t really been enjoying middle grade much in the last few years. I really hope it’s just a phase and I start enjoying them again. 🙂

I also have only read the first book of Shades of Magic. Maybe I’ll finally order the second one when exclusive edition is released? Maybe.
I kinda wish I ever read Wayfarer. I just didn’t think it was as good as the first one but I wish you enjoy it more.
I have read the whole Hush Hush series but I also want to re-read them. It’s one of the only book series I remember fangirling about with one of my irl friends.
I have so many series I want to finish but one of the top of my head is Dark In You series by Suzanne Wright. I just fell in love with it a little whle ago and can’t wait to get my hands on the last book. Some older book series that I need to finish are Immortals After Dark, Across The Universe, Immortals (i’m not so sure I ever will this one since it has been forever) and Morganville Vampires.

I didn’t know that there were special editions coming out! Oh well 😂
That makes me nervous about reading Wayfarer. I’ve been putting it off for so long haha.
The thing is though, I’ve read *so many* Angel/Demon or Demon/Human or even Angel/Human stories that they’re kind of old for me at this point. LOL! But I AM intrigued about the Hush Hush series, so I guess I’m not totally over it, 😂. — I love freaking out over a series with people irl. I miss it, lol.
Oh snap! You’ve just mentioned books/series that I didn’t know about. I’ll have to check them out! The titles alone seem interesting!
