STATE OF THE ARC MEME
State of the ARC is a monthly meme at Avalinah’s Books meant to motivate you to finish up all your long overdue ARCs (Advanced or Early Reader Copies). You can track your reading progress and link up with your own post. Most commonly it comes out on the 30th of every month.
Hello friends and welcome to my eleventh State of the ARC post!
February’s State of the ARC is going to be a short and sweet one.
I didn’t get around to reading as many ARCs I wished I would have. However I did read two, and they still count.
Titles I Read in February:
Crown of Feathers (Crown of Feathers, #1) by Nicki Pau Preto
Crown of Feathers is one of the books that I had hoped I would get in advance, and I’m so glad that I did. Crown of Feathers proved to be what a great story it was. I’m very happy with how the story plot progressed through it all. There were many dips and turns that I didn’t expect, so Crown of Feathers surprised me a few times! (my review)
Truth or Bear (Shift, #2) by Zoe Ashwood
I genuinely really enjoyed Truth or Bear. I didn’t get to read from the point of view that I had been wanting to read from, but that’s okay because Nik and Claire’s story is very entertaining! I ended up enjoying their story more than I thought I would — especially since I thought Nik and Claire’s story would be told later on in the series’ time line. (my review)
I forgot to say in last months state of the ARC that I acquired two books that I did not get from Netgalley’s site. I happily received:
- List of 13 by E.A. Comiskey. A story where an adult mother/daughter duo go on a holiday and end up in the underworld.
- When the Gods Forget by Kennedy Daly. The sequel to the novel Children of Forgotten Gods. I don’t know too much about this sequel since I just want to read the story as is, without predicting anything.
In March I hope to read more than two ARCs. I’d be very pleased if I could accomplish that.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
See you soon, and Happy Reading!
Adele
