Hello friends! It’s now officially the end of September!
Which is slightly upsetting on my part because September is my favourite Autumn month.
I don’t know about you, but for me September screams “new beginnings” to me. Which is why I figured that at the beginning of September my mind kept reaching for romance novels. Just….romance novels. Which is odd, but I guess it’s the whole coziness that had me lovey-dovey.
Yet I knew that I also wanted to read fantasy books! Characters who are assassins, or characters just finding out that they have magic themselves. Or maybe these characters are falling in love for the first time.. Maybe all three?! I had no idea. But my mind was screaming “romance romance romance” to me, and I had to try and oblige, hahaha.
I had no set TBR for September, but I did want to read a few of the books that I own. Whether that book I read would be a re-read, or reading the story for the first time.
What I read in September was:
- Knuckle Down (The Cursed MC Ravens, #2) by Chantal Fernando — ★★★.5
- Escorting the Billionaire (Book 1) by Leigh James — ★★★★
- To Right the Wrongs (Erin Blake, #2) by Sheryl Scarborough – ★★★★
- Children of the Forgotten Gods by Kennedy Daly — ★★★
- Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4) by Sarah J. Maas — ★★★★★
- The Battlemage (The Summoner, #3) by Taran Matharu — ★★★.5
- Magic Harvest (Fairy Trafficking Book 1) by Mary Karlik — ★★★
- Twice Dead (Necromancer’s Song, #1) by Caitlin Seal — ★★★★
I actually ended up DNF-ing a book this month, and that book is Raven by Suzy Turner. I made it about halfway through the novel before I decided to quit my re-read of the novel simply because the book is better in my memory. …And I was getting very frustrated with the story as I was re-reading it.
What manga I read in September were:
- Karneval Omnibus Volume 05 by Touya Mikanagi — ★★★★
- Karneval Omnibus Volume 06, by Touya Mikanagi — ★★★★
- Kenka Bancho Otome: Love’s Battle Royal Volume 01, by Chie Shimada — ★★★★★
- Karneval Omnibus Volume 07, by Touya Mikanagi — ★★★
- Karneval Omnibus Volume 08, by Touya Mikanagi — ★★★★

People’s Posts:
I enjoyed reading Rain’s post on “The Best First Books In YA” since there are some great starts to series/trilogies out there. I agree with Rain on these books being the best firsts. — Though I haven’t read a few books on her list.
Bookstagram Props That Don’t Break the Bank — ‘nough said, am I right? I love this post because I love seeing bookstagram props, but, I’m broke. So being able to find some new ways to find affordable props is great.
BLOGOWEEN! — There are a lot of Blogoween blog posts readying us for the month of October. I enjoyed reading through Sam’s Blogoween post. I’m so tempted to participate in these prompts, because I am such a Halloween Nut. I just don’t have the energy to do so lately, unfortunately. (I say lately because I queue 99% of my posts)

September’s Journal
05; I’m almost at 400 followers! I’d be even more happy if I got to 500 followers by my birthday! 😀 // I caught up on a few WebToons and ! I just love being able to read those stories. If you’re interested at all in what I’m reading on WebToons, I’m reading: Aerial Magic, Mage & Demon Queen, April Flowers, Ghost Lights, Let’s Play, Winter Moon, LUMINE, Super Secret… Yes, I have a lot of WebToon comics to catch up on, and these aren’t even all of them!
07; I gave myself a hair cut, and it’s kind of choppy but I’m actually pretty happy with it!
27; I’ve been working on Christmas presents these past few days. I’m making a bunch of stuff for the family.
28; I have been so busy for the past two weeks and let me tell you…. It did not sit well with me. I’m much more of a laid-back kind of person, and being go-go-go for the last little while gave me such a bad migraine. All the stress caught up to me and I had to relax in a quite dark room for a few hours. #MigraineCentral
29; The past few days, rather, these past 2 weeks have ended up with me having no energy. I could literally sleep for two days straight and still be tired. And I also want to cry? Yikes. I am so emotional! — I’m also posting this Monthly Wrap Up a day early because I don’t want to be on the computer tomorrow.
Why is September my favourite Autumn month? The days are still long, and in September we actually see the change-over from Summer to Autumn. We see the way the leaves change.
Thank you for stopping by!
Thats all for my September Wrap up! Let me know what you thought of this past September. Was it good to you? Did you read anything interesting?
Happy Reading!
