Hello, friends! How are you doing? At the moment I’m fine, as I’m typing this it’s a humid day, so it’s the perfect atmosphere to do a tag! Enjoy!

I saw that the lovely Sophia Lin, over at Bookwyrming Thoughts did this tag. I liked the questions as well as her answers. If you have the time I definitely suggest you check out her post!

OK so I have no idea if any of you readers are interested in what happens behind the scenes of my blog. I can assure you though, it’s nothing special, ahaha.

Where do you typically write your blog posts?

Before my laptop crapped out, I write them on my bed. Now I write them at my desk on my big computer. I can get more stuff done this way, to be honest. Though I do get lost in the internet often.

How long does it generally take you to write a book review?

Hmmm. Depending on what I thought of the book it can take anywhere from an hour…to at most 2 days. I like to read the book, review it, and then move on to another book.

When did you start your book blog?

I started Adele Is Reading in November 6, 2015. Before that I was over on Tumblr and was blogger for about a year and a half, maybe? I still use my tumblr, by the way!

What is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

The worst thing about book blogging in my opinion is feeling incompetent.

I always end up comparing myself to others when if anything, I should be comparing myself to myself.  I started Adele Is Reading solely for book reviews. I didn’t want to do book tags, I didn’t want to go overload with this blog. Since then my views have changed. I like doing the book tags, I like participating as much as I can. So really, I always feel like I’m being left behind, and that sucks.

What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

One of the best things about having a book blog is the books I get to read. Both the books that haven’t yet been published and the ones that have been published for years. I love sharing my love for reading. I get to share the books I love and the books I didn’t like.

I also really like the community as well. We’re all blogging about books because we ourselves love reading. I don’t think it can get better than that.

Which blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?

I like writing about the books I’ve yet to read. So Here There Be (Books About) Dragons | TBR, and 10 Notable Books I’ve Read in 2018 (So Far…). Posts where I can talk about the books I’ve read and recommend them, or posts where I talk about the books I’m excited to read.

What is your favourite type of blog post to write?

Ooooh, I really enjoy my manga review posts. They’re short and sweet, and I get to read these quirky manga in the process. I also tend to read manga in batches, so I get quite a few posts queued at once!

When do you typically write?

I typically end up writing in the middle of the day, or late afternoon, so I have time to read or do other things at nighttime.

Do you review every book you read?

I try to. I have a really bad memory and originally this blog was going to be a blog specifically for reviews so I could remember what I thought of the books I’ve read. So yes, I try to review every book I’ve read. That being said though, I don’t review the books I absolutely hate, or if the books are too short to review. Or if I have nothing to say about a book I’ve read, I don’t review it.

How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?

I write my book reviews in my chair that typically gets my butt numb pretty quickly. I write my book reviews while either drinking tea or water, and almost always with music playing. I’ve found that I can work more efficiently while music is playing actually. Unfortunately, my cat doesn’t spend much time upstairs unless he wants nighttime cuddles, so unless I’m downstairs we typically don’t spend time with each other.

When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?

I write my book reviews as soon as possible, and with lots of notes. After a day of finishing a book I typically forget a lot of what I felt when I read a book, so I have to get my thoughts and feelings for a book down ASAP.

How often do you post?

That’s a difficult question! If life is going well and I don’t have any depressive episodes, I try to post 3 times a week. When things are going really well I may post up to 5 times a week. Thankfully, queuing is something that’s still a thing. So I actually queue 99% of my posts.
