Have you ever read a book, and then realized it was part of a series? Have you ever read a book that was part of a series; finished the book you were reading and then totally forgot about the book you read? I’ve been in both of these situations and while sometimes the series are entertaining, other times the rest of the book series just doesn’t live up to the first book.
Here are 4 book series that I have yet to finish.
- The Sky Fall trilogy, by Shannon Messenger
I found this series a while ago, and have since found that I enjoyed the first two Sky Fall books. I love that in the Sky Fall series’ world, there are people who can control the wind. I also really enjoyed the romance (or lack thereof [it’s been a while since I’ve read the second book]). The thought that seemed to have gone into the history of this world as well is great as well. I’m looking forward to reading the third book, Let the Wind Rise.
- The Girl at Midnight trilogy by Melissa Grey.
I loved the first book, and I’m prepared to loved the last two books, even though I have a feeling that the series might got downhill a little…
- The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater
I’ve read the first book, and from what I remember, I can say that I enjoyed the book. I really want to know what happens in the rest of the trilogy though, so I can move on to other books.
- Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
I’ve actually read the first two books in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy. However, the last book, Dreams of Gods and Monsters has too many points of view for my liking, and honestly (?!) I didn’t want to put up with the story flipping every chapter. So I stopped reading Dreams of Gods and Monsters for my own sanity. But now that it’s been a few years since the last book was published, I’m kind of itching to finish the series!
These book series aren’t the only series I have yet to finish. I have quite a few more.
Are there any book series that you have to finish, but haven’t yet?
Happy Reading!
Adele
