13446537A week ago, Dinah’s cousin Claire cut her wrists.

Five days ago, Dinah found Claire’s diary and discovered why.

Three days ago, Dinah stopped crying and came up with a plan.

Two days ago, she ditched her piercings and bleached the black dye from her hair.

Yesterday, knee socks and uniform plaid became a predator’s camouflage.

Today, she’ll find the boy who broke Claire.

By tomorrow, he’ll wish he were dead.

Trigger Warning: Mentioning of Self Harm, Blood, & Rape

Premeditated was a book that I picked up on a whim, because hey, I borrowed it from the library, so it was free. However, when I brought it home, I didn’t think that I would end up reading it. I had one of those cases of buyer’s regret..with a library book.

I was quickly wrapped up in this story. I found it so easy to forget, so easy to believe that their intended target was their actual target — even though, from pretty early on in the novel that the actual culprit wasn’t the one they thought it was.

unnamed-10There are a few things about the plot that had me feeling like I was caught up in a whirlwind. The plot of the book moves incredibly quickly. I think, if I’m recalling correctly, the span of Premeditated is just under, or a little over, a months worth of time.

I’m pretty happy with how the book turned out, under the circumstances.

Even though this story is about revenge, — and that’s what initially drew me into the book, —  I’m glad that I read Premeditated. I enjoyed reading Dinah’s story.

I ended up giving Premeditated, 3 of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Have you read Premeditated?

Happy Reading!
