Lead is the 3rd book in the Stage Dive series by Kylie Scott.19286623

‘As the lead singer of Stage Dive, Jimmy is used to getting whatever he wants, whenever he wants it, whether it’s booze, drugs, or women. However, when a PR disaster serves as a wake-up call about his life and lands him in rehab, he finds himself with Lena, a new assistant to keep him out of trouble.
Lena’s not willing to take any crap from the sexy rocker and is determined to keep their relationship completely professional, despite their sizzling chemistry. But when Jimmy pushes her too far and Lena leaves, he realizes that he may just have lost the best thing that ever happened to him.’

A great thing about the Stage Dive series is that you can read these books as standalones.

A great thing about Lead — even prior to reading to reading this book — is that Lead is about Jimmy. We don’t see much of him in the last two books, so finally having a book featuring Jimmy, is great in my opinion.

I would have loved to read more from Jimmy’s point of view. If my memory serves, we don’t read much at all from Jimmy’s point of view, we read Lead from Lena’s view on things. Lena’s point of view was great and very entertaining to read from, but knowing what Jimmy was actually thinking would have made Lead better than it already is. — I’m imagining the story again, but with both of their views and I understand why Lead is inly from Lena’s point of view: Jimmy is a man of few words.

I love that the love between Jimmy and Lena was a slow burn love. The sex scenes that this book has are still steamy, but I’m surprised that there weren’t more sex scenes.

My heart is so happy that the ending was a happy one — and a fluffy one at that. I ended up reading Lead in one sitting. I didn’t plan on reading Lead in one sitting, but that’s what happened and I can’t find it in myself to regret it.

I ended up giving Lead 4 of 5 stars! I love –and extremely appreciate– that Lena is a big girl!

Happy Reading!
Adele
