Hello everyone! Welcome to my first Book Haul & Wrap up of 2017! I can honestly say that I never thought that I would make it to be 22 years old, nevertheless make it to 2017. So here I am with January’s Book Haul & Wrap Up!

***I received Fantastic Beasts from a friend this month since we weren’t able to meet up around Christmas.
I actually set up a loose TBR pile for January. As you can see to the left, there are 10 books there. The books are as from left to right:

- And We Stay by Jenny Hubbard
- The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden, #2) by Julie Kagawa
- The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
I have got to be honest with you. I haven’t really been reading all that much because I’ve been devouring my time with watching anime. I still think about books and all of that hub-bub, but my love for anime has come back full force lately. So the anime universe has taken up a lot of my time! I’m committed to reading though. I am not giving up on my love for books just because anime is back in my life.
The books I read this month are:
- True Born by L.E. Sterling
- Hunting Ground (Alpha & Omega, #2) by Patricia Briggs
- Lead (Stage Dive, #3) by Kylie Scott
- Kinslayer (Stormdancer, #2) by Jay Kristoff
- Tell the Wind and Fire by Sarah Rees Brennan
- Shadowlands (Shadowlands, #1) by Kate Brian
The other posts I’ve posted this month are:
TBR #22, & TBR #23 — Where I talk about books that are on my TBR!
My 10 Best Reads of 2016 — I think the title is self-explanatory enough for ya’.
Library Reads #22 — The books I’ve gotten out from the library recently
Books that I’m Looking Forward to this Winter 2017 | Part 3 — Books being published in February that I’m particularly looking forward to.
The books I reviewed this month are:
Starr Fall by Kim Briggs
- Suffer Love by Ashley Herring Blake
- Death Marked (Death Sworn, #2) by Leah Cypess
- Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Claiming His Fate by Ellis Leigh
- The Novice by Taran Matharu
- After the Woods by Kim Savage
- The Vanishing Throne (The Falconer, #2) by Elizabeth May
- Insatiable by Meg Cabot
- Unravelling Isobel by Eileen Cook
Other general thoughts as of late:
I’ve changed my Goodreads Challenge from my original yearly 50 books to 25 books. I’m planning to be more out and about this year, so I won’t have time to read a lot like I did in 2016. So 25 books this year would be perfect. If I read less, that’s okay, and if I read more than 25 books, then great!
I can sense that a reading slump is near — I don’t mind it actually. It took me way longer than expected to finish reading Tell the Wind and Fire (about a week or so). With having all of this free time on my hands, I’ll be able to do more stuff!
Happy Reading!
Adele
Why do you say you never thought you would make it to be 22?

It’s just one of those things where time-to-time I think on my life and say, “Hey, I’m 22! Wow!” 🙂
