Hello reader/s! I hope you’re well! For a while now, I’ve been writing a weekly post about books that are on my TBR. TBR, if you don’t know is the abbreviation for To Be Read. My goal here is to shed some light on books that I’ve otherwise forgotten about. These books could be books I’ve been meaning to read from the library, or books that have been collecting dust on my shelves at home. My goal though is to say a little about the book and also give a little reasoning of why I want to read them.
Hello friends! How are you doing? Today’s TBR post was inspired by two books that have always stayed in my mind as a duo. The reason for this is more than likely because I bought them at the same time, and therefore have always stayed on my shelf as a pair.
The first book is The Raising by Laura Kasischke.
The cover of this book drew me in. The synopsis was the hook, line, and the price I bought The Raising, for, the sinker. I’ll be honest and say that I’ve tried reading this book before. I only got about 10 pages in though, so I don’t know very much of what happens. And the beginning was really confusing to me — another reason why I stopped reading when I did. Nevertheless, one day I will try reading The Raising again, and when I do, I hope I’ll be able to finish it.
The second book is Forbidden by Syrie James & Ryan M. James.
I actually don’t know why I haven’t yet read this book, when I know for a fact that I almost always end up enjoying books about angels. As usual with angel books, there’s the topic of forbidden love. Forbidden has no exception of that, and frankly, whenever I get around to reading this book, I’m going to be looking forward to this forbidden love. All I want is no love triangle!
Both books are books that I hope to one day read. Who knows though, maybe I’ll end up not liking these books and end up giving them away! Oh, and both of these books are stand alone books, so that’s great!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my post!
Adele
PS, I’m thinking of making these TBR Tuesday’s a bi-weekly thing?
