Hello readers!! I hope your well. Yesterday was a chilly day, instead of all the warm that we Vancouverites got so used to. It was cloudy, which was a nice break from the bright sun. Today’s supposed to be warm, as well as tomorrow, and then it’s supposed to rain.. I swear, weather in Vancouver is weird and has a mind of its own.

So today’s post is going to be a little different.. I won’t have a picture of the two books this post is going to be about. I just have the books photographed by themselves. — I’m seeing how this looks and works out. So if you could please tell me what you think, that’d be awesome!

This first book is Cryer’s Cross by Lisa McMann.

I’m keeping myself from finding out what this book is really about. I find, personally, that a lot of books end up being better than when I read the synopsis. So all I know about Cryer’s Cross is that this town must be pretty small to have such big secrets revealed. I also read somewhere that Cryer’s Cross is supposed to be spooky?? I don’t really know — unless there’s a murder! Then yeah, that’d be spooky. I’m really looking forward to reading Cryer’s Cross. I almost started reading it the other day actually! But then I didn’t really feel like reading at all. – I’ve been feeling that a lot lately.

The next book is The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman.

I’ve been like, obsessed with this book since I came across it on my dash on tumblr one day. I saw the cover for the book and immediately reblogged it! I had to have this beauty on my blog! I ended up forgetting about this book for a while, truthfully. Like, I didn’t think that I would ever(!!) own this book. I thought I’d borrow it from the library, and so on and so forth. However, when someone (they didn’t leave a name!) sent this book to me for my birthday, I was totally surprised! And the package came with a bookmark as well, and gah! It was awesome and I think I even teared up a little, too.

I started reading it on my birthday, actually! I think I got about 10 pages in, but I didn’t want to read the story downstairs on the floor. I wanted to read in a more comfortable setting; aka, my room. Since then though, I haven’t had the time to get around to reading it! Something that I really like about this book already, aside from the cover, is the size of my copy! It’s a little smaller than the size of my hand. Which means that my copy of The Ocean at the End of the Lane is a pocket book! It’s so cute. I love it.

These two books have been on my TBR for a while now! As always, I don’t know when I’ll get around to reading these lovelies, but when I do, I’ll be sure to review them!

If you didn’t know, my goal with these TBR Tuesday posts, is to shed some light on books that I’ve otherwise forgotten about. These books could be books I’ve been meaning to read from the library, or books that have been collecting dust on my shelves at home.

I hope you enjoyed reading! Have you read either of these books? I’ve wanted to read them for forever, and I guess I should start with that, no? Anyway, I hope you have a great day, and thank you for reading! I really appreciate it!

Adele

P.S.! Both of these books are stand alones! Isn’t that great?!
