Hello lovelies! It’s another Tuesday, so you know what that means! It’s the second day of the work week, and I am totally excited! For today’s post I had my sister choose the books. She had chosen a book I had mentioned before, and she had asked what the book was about, and then when I told her she got all excited and recommended me a book that’s in this post! Also: there aren’t any spoilers in this post!
The books that I’m going to talk about in this post are Wandering Star (Zodiac #2) by Romina Russell, and Marked by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast.
Wandering Star is a book that I’ve been excited about for forever. And now that there’s been the reveal of the title and cover for the third book, I am feeling way behind in this series!
So I haven’t read the synopsis for Wandering Star yet, because I don’t want to spoil it for myself. I think that the cover for Wandering Star is absolutely beautiful, and I am just so excited to read the contents of this book. I really like how Zodiac left off, which just leaves so much promise to whatever happens in Wandering Star.
I was recommended Marked by my sister after I had told her that the book she had picked was already talked about. When she asked what this book was about, I told her, and she got all excited, ran to her room and then came back with Marked. She told me what it was kind of about without telling me too much. I don’t know if she’s read it herself though.
She told me to read it, and I will.
This book is about a girl who lives in a world where vampires have always existed. Zoey, the main character, gets Marked to become a vampyre, and go to this private school where she’ll then learn to become an “Adult vamypre.” Zoey realizes soon though that she has amazing powers, and an insatiable thirst for her human ex-boyfriend’s blood. Zoey also realizes that she isn’t the one given these goddess given gifts. The daughter of the leader’s most Elite group, Dark Daughters, has been misusing her gifts. Zoey must then “look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her identity.”
I’m not too excited for that last part to be honest. It sounds so cheesy and pretty predictable.
That’s all I have for this weeks post! It’s a little on the short side, especially Wandering Star’s section. I just don’t really want to spoil myself too much with these books. With one being one I’m really looking forward to, and the second one seeming to be too predictable. I don’t want to give all of my cards up yet, ahah.
Thank you for reading!
Adele
