Authors I’d Want To Meet | Top 5 Wednesday #14

The original title is “Authors You’d Want TO Meet at Book Expo America & Bookcon” but since I won’t be going to those — probably ever– I’m changing the title, and the post a bit. As you can see, I just changed the title to “Authors I’d Want To Meet.” I find this version of the title to be way more inclusive, because some authors don’t go to these bookish events. So without further ado, and in no particular order, the authors I would like to meet!

  • Victoria Aveyard

The author of the Red Queen series.. I really love her writing. I haven’t yet read the novella’s or the second book in the Red Queen series, but I would really love to meet her. I just find her writing to be very organized, and flows really smoothly. Also, she seems to be really cool and laid back almost, which I really love about people.

  • Romina Russell

Romina is the author of Zodiac series. Her current books are Zodiac, and Wandering Star, which is the second book to Zodiac. I absolutely loved Zodiac. I’m actually supposed to be re-reading the book right now, ahaha. — I love her writing as well. And I love the general idea behind her Zodiac series as well! I currently follow Romina on tumblr, instagram, and now even twitter! Romina seriously seems like she’s such a happy and vibrant person. She’s always (appropriately) reblogging, or re-instagramming photo’s of people’s reactions to her books and I really enjoy seeing that as well! Romina just seems like a happy person, and I would love to meet her.

  • Julie Kagawa

Author of soo many books. I absolutely love her Immortal series, and enjoyed what I’ve read from her Iron Fey series. I haven’t yet dived into her Talon series, which is about Dragons, if you didn’t know!! I’d absolutely love to meet the mastermind that wrote one of my favourite vampire series. I haven’t really found Julie on the internet though, which is a little weird for me since I usually follow the authors I read from..

  • Holly Black

I love the books that I’ve read from her works. I’ve recently read The Coldest Girl in Coldtown, and really, really enjoyed that story. And a while back I got to read The Darkest Part of the Forest, and got obsessed with that book… I haven’t read much of Holly’s work, but I definitely plan to! I’d love to meet her and just ask her what inspired her to write those two stories..

  • Karina Halle

I found Karina’s work a few years back. I think I was in eleventh grade. The first book of hers I read was Darkhouse, which is the first book in her Experiment in Terror series // I highly recommend those books if you can get your hands on a copy. I haven’t yet read her other works because of my low funds, buuut, I also really want to meet her because she’s somewhat local! And Karina seems down to Earth as well, from what I can tell from her instagram.

Those are 5 authors that I would like to meet. There are of course more authors that I would love to meet, but I find that an author and their work are often too different for me to care to meet them.

Thank you for reading!
