I was tagged on tumblr to do the eleven questions tag. Since there isn’t an “official” title for this tagged, I’ve dubbed it to be the Eleven Questions tag. Original, huh? So I was tagged by fae-sass-queen on tumblr. You can see her answers to the questions she was asked here.
Her set of questions are:
1.) What is your favourite book quote?
Just one?! I can’t do just one..
“You could rattle the stars,” she whispered. “You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.” from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
“I am protected, shaped and built by what is outside, what they made of me, but also by what is inside, what I made of myself.” from Atlantia by Ally Codnie
“The bravest people are the ones who don’t mind looking like cowards.” from The Once and Future King by T.H. White
“Having someone you can talk to is cool, but it’s been my experience that it is a lot harder to find someone you can be quiet with.” from Unravelling Isobel by Eileen Cook
“I wanted to tell the book thief many things, about beauty and brutality. But what could I tell her about those things that she didn’t already know? I wanted to explain that I am constantly overestimating and underestimating the human race–that rarely do I ever simply estimate it. I wanted to ask her how the same thing could be so ugly and so glorious, and its words and stories so damning and brilliant.
None of those things, however, came out of my mouth.
All I was able to do was turn the Liesel Meminger and tell her the only truth I truly know. I said it to the book theif, and I say it now to you.
I am haunted by humans.” from The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak
Those are some of my favourite quotes. If you want to find more, click here!
2.) If you could love in the world of Throne of Glass where would you want to live?
A great question! I’ve pretty much fallen in love with all of the places that we the readers have seen. I honestly can’t wait to see Terrasen! I’d probably want to live there, but since we haven’t seen in yet, Oakwald Forest. – We see the forest first hand in the first book, and I fell in-love with the forest right then. I probably wouldn’t survive the night though, haha.
3.) What character from any book do you relate to the most and why?
Oh, geez. There are so many characters that I can connect with on some level or another… From my memory I’d have to say though, that I connect the most with Tris from Divergent. She and I both have the same way of thinking of things.
4.) Most terrifying character/creature?
I think I would have to say the most terrifying creature would have to be….those things from W.I.C.K.E.D. via The Maze Runner. And then in The Scorch Trials, the effects of the flare and the results to the people is pretty creepy…
5. If I could be any “species” what would it be? (fae, wizard, etc..)
My peeps, I’d have to be Fae from the Throne of Glass series. They’re like, my most favoured Fae’s ever!
6. What is your favourite book and why?
I can’t choose one book! I’m changing your question! My favourite book OR series.
— The first book that comes to mind though, is Throne of Glass, because of what Celaena overcomes. But also because Throne of Glass is the gateway to all of the other books…..
7. Is there a book that you read that you ended up absolutely hating? If so what book?
WHITE SPACE BY ISLA J. BICK. I HATE IT. my review.
8. Who is your brotp?
Aedion and Rowan in Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas. But also, Lucien and Tamlin in A Court of Thorns and Roses (also by Sarah J. Maas)
9. What are you hoping to see in Empire of Storms?
IF YOU DIDN’T KNOW ALREADY, Empire of Storms is the 5th book in the Throne of Glass series, and I AM PUMPED. I’m hoping to see more of everyone to be honest. And more characters from back in Heir of Fire. I’ve completely forgotten the names of them, but they’re that gay couple in HoF where one works in the kitchen for the rest of the peeps, and then the other is a ?? Hunter, I think. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM AGAIN. Plus, more Lysandra. I would love to get to know her more and see more of her powers!
10.) If you could have any library layout in your home what would it look like?
Picture this: a ginormous room, lots of natural lighting, some plants placed in strategic places, maybe an animal bed on the ground, next to my favourite reading chair that is big a comfortable. The books would be in floor to ceiling shelves, on most of the walls. There are also some globes in varying sizes. Some light up, some don’t. There’s also, maybe, a skylight. AND, if there isn’t a skylight, I’d have a hologram starlight projector, where I could flip a switch and the night sky would be on the rooms ceiling.
There was only 10 questions; which is alright! So for my eleven questions…
- Has a book ever made you cry? If so what book was it?
- Have you ever hated a character with every fiber of your being? …Who is it?
- Do you drink or eat anything while you read?
- Do you prefer physical books (i.e. paperback, or hardcover), or you do prefer to read with a e-reader?
- Following the previous question, do you go to a/ny library/ies?
- Favourite Author?
- Do you have a favourite book from your favourite author?
- Do you not like any author’s writing?
- Do you despise any characters?
- Was there a character that you hated, then grew to Like/Love? Vice Versa: Is there a character you Love/Like, then grew to hate?
- What type of book genre do you prefer?
I TAG:
And anyone else who would like to do this tag! Just leave me a message here if you’ve done it. Also! No pressure if you don’t want to do it. I’m not about forcing people to do stuff they don’t want to do.
I hope you all have a great day!
Adele
