Library Reads | #3

Here I document (in my own way) what I get out from the library and what my thoughts are about the books, before I actually get into reading the books.

Let’s see what I have out from the library today, shall we?

Even When You Lie to Me by Jessica Alcott
Just the title itself is really intriguing. But with reading the synopsis, I can already tell that some no-no lines are going to be crossed. I’m kind of nervous about this book thought. I hope it isn’t bad. [EDIT: I’ve since returned it, but when I get the chance to read it, I will.]

Proof of Forever by Lexa Hillyer
Another book that I checked out purely because the cover is a pretty one. Now I’ve read the synopsis and I’m really intrigued! I love a book with a fantasy theme to it! [EDIT: I didn’t get a chance to read this book due to my laziness.]

Spelled by Betsy Schow
I’ve been in the mood for some story retellings, so why not? I also have it out because one of my friends reaaaally loves this book.

Unravelling Isobel by Eileen Cook
So I got Unravelling Isobel on a whim because I was picking up these other books (the ones listed here) and thought that I should have something to read on the train ride home. When I was on the way home though I realized I can’t read outside of the house because of my upbringing and my paranoia. I am really looking forward to this book, though.

The Witch Hunter by Virginia Boecker
The title itself is a dead giveaway. Hunting witches. Still though, the cover is really pretty (DAMN YOU PRETTY COVERS!!!) so I requested it. Looking at the synopsis though, I’m actually starting to dread reading this. I don’t particularly care for the books set in the past. I read a ton of them in my senior year of high school, so the desire to read historical themed books has burned out.. I’ll try to read it though!

That’s all the library books I got out this week! Have you read anything interesting this week? Let me know!

Thanks for reading! Until next time,
Adele.
